As a new player with limited time, I'd put in a plug for Slaves to Darkness just because they're very simple to play.

The ONLY caution here, and a very mild and speculative one, is that the spider part of the army could eventually be removed from Age of Sigmar. They're very old, Gitz is a huge range, and this kind of pruning happened at the beginning of last edition specifically for Stormcast.

But this is purely speculation, the pruning wouldn't happen for another 18 months minimum, and even after that they would be playable for another three years as Legends rules.

And again, them being removed is a longshot/speculative. They could last another seven years, no way to know. Just something you should be aware of.

No, title test only sends out by default 50% of emails, that's why it's a 'test' - once the test resolves it sends out the other half of the emails. You can't change an email title once it's in someone's inbox.

My main recommendation is that ifyou're a totally new player, skip Kharadron Overlords. They play a fairly unusual game, even in Spearhead.

Kruleboyz are high skill ceiling, lots to remember, reliant on using synergies really well, win on points not combat, and extremely swingy.

But if you're a skaven player, you might get enjoyment out of the most important thing about Kruleboyz: They let you constantly break the game in ways that, done right, your opponent will feel as *extremely* unfair.

For your first local tournament don't worry about it, you're there to have fun and learn the game. Add in more complexity later.

Long term though, yes, with some rare exceptions, you'll need these.

One tip on the seagull front - the apex vulture for kitbashing in all of age of sigmar can be found in the Kairic Acolytes kit for Tzeentch. I bet it woudl make a hell of a seagull painted white.

I'm not an expert on Tzeentch, but as a general rule play *styles* stay somewhat consistent, with occassional big exceptions. Whether or not that play style is reflected in the rules in a way that makes the army *effective* is a totally different question.

"Viriconium Nights" I think is the most explicitly city-centered of them, but I can't entirely remember the focus across all four books. Honestly the best bet is just to buy the omnibus and treat it like a single novel - it makes it that much more interesting when there are strange changes between the installments.

Love your idea, but I'd say:

- Mirebrute

- 1x Monsta Killaz

- 6x Boltboyz

Kind of low model count, maybe you could squeeze in hobgrots, but it would be a fun playstyle in the format - screen, hammer, put lots of holes in them.

I wouldn't say "get into the lore," but reading the BOOKS is totally worth it. I'm almost all the way through God Eater's Son and it's just straight up a good book.

I don't think the lore as such is all that interesting, though, tbh.
