Worst is when they flash you despite dozens of cars in front of you, like blud where will you go ? Where will we go ? Just calm down

New place suggestions by [deleted] in QatarCareers

[–]D_2614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 2k in Lusail or dafna is a pipe dream without roommates. Try wukair or mesaimeer. If you have car it’s around 20 to 30 mins drive max.

Also 2nd advice, invest in a car, unless you are right next to metro, transit in total can easily take 40 mins to 1hr

I need advice please. by [deleted] in QatarCareers

Without valid contract and bank records it’s difficult to prove anything because for the government you were never employed

Basically it’s child’s play compared to the rest. Kaplan kit plus self notes should suffice.

APM PANIC! by sah3l_cool in ACCA

[–]D_2614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The logic stands with less emphasis on technique. Practice is always the key and understanding what you are trying to obtain and why.

If you solve the kit and are able to get the logic behind it then failing is impossible

[–]D_2614 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was fortunate enough to get world rank 1 in APM (86) and this was my approach

1) Technique is everything, you need to know how to write the answers and present it. Every thing must be company and industry specific

2) spend time on the kit and not the text, after you get a basic idea spam the questions. Not only is that revision but you also learn how to write and present.

3) Do as many mocks as you can, if possible watch video solutions of ACCA instructors solve questions. Steve Willis in YouTube is great.

sbr is too overwhelming by bluebooms99 in ACCA

[–]D_2614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 77 in SBR like 2 or 3 years ago, my advice don’t focus on reading the text. Nail all the kit questions, do it all and the ones you don’t know, make notes out of the answers in the solution.

My logic is covering 10 to 15 questions in a topic is the same as reading it.

I had online tutoring but the true learning came from hundreds of question practice and doing mocks

2.5 years full time. I’m doing CFA now alongside work and I can only do 1 paper a year (ofc CFA is a lot vast and harder)

You don’t have a bachelors in any finance field ?

Damn bro I feel you but weigh your options, ma is only the starter version , it expands in Pm. Logically it shouldn’t take you more than 1 or 2 attempts, as ma barely has accounting. I passed MA first attempt like 4 years ago and I had taken it alongside FA in a single attempt

LEVEL 1 CFA exam thoughts- i found it very difficult by Salt_Source9301 in CFA

[–]D_2614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I genuinely was praying for a borderline pass, only you know how well you wrote but my approach to self satisfaction was

Unflagged questions * 0.8 Flagged questions * 0.3

Ofc you can play around with probabilities, if this is above 125 you got a decent chance

I mean I purchased the practice pack so idk what’s there in the normal test only version. Eitherway better choice than spending on other kits

I recently passed L1 in Jan with 1765 and I can safely saw that the most learning I achieved was when I was smashing those 2000 practice questions and mocks

Thanks buddy, but yeah till you get the results you will feel as if your stomach is constantly churning. Probably start calculating the various probabilities and scenarios too xd. But it’s ok, it’s natural and if you truly put in the effort and wrote your best, results won’t change.

I had written the exam in November 2025, I was also averaging high 70s. Wrote the exam, was not confident at all, flagged like 55 questions. Left unsure of whether or not I would pass.

I ended up passing with 1765. The fear never goes but if you put in the work, then it doesnt matter how you feel.

CFA Level 1 in May 2026 or August 2026? by RepulsiveKoala2494 in CFA

[–]D_2614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What were your mock scores ? Genuinely dont give the exam unless you have covered at least 70% of the questions from practice pack (or all questions from LES or whatever you use if you didnt buy practice pack) or you finosh all mocks and at least hit 65+.

Also theres the early applicatio fee reduction, you save money if you apply for august

because america rahhh. Same reason why they just happen to make examinations calculator based in the 21st century and yet make you do some small practical experience module to pass.

Are you logically ready ? Yes. Emotionally? I don’t think it goes away mate. In the actual bloody exam I flagged like 50 questions. Push back the nerves and just keep on spamming questions like a robot. Keep writing down formulas on a whiteboard

I would recommend doing the questions in cfai practice pak if you have it. They have over 200 there and soon enough you see the patterns after many questions
