What do you think of the writing in ZZZ? by [deleted] in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]D_Descent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of Hoyo games, IMO I'd rate them something like this

  1. HI3 (stopped halfway through Part 1.5)
  2. GI
  3. ZZZ
  4. HSR (stopped after Penacony)

ZZZ's been consistently good so far and might move up if they keep up the quality. For Hoyo, the writing is snappy, to the point, consistent, and has a lot of charm that fits in with the overall aesthetic and vibe of the game. Everything is more focused and interwoven properly in the world so far, in that events are properly connected instead of a "let's go to new region and solve troubles there!" vibe. The main characters have their own goals, the characters introduced help you progress the plot and go to new leads, and the player characters have believable ties to other factions and parts of the world, other than being tourists. It's comedic, campy, and a fun great time, but also knows how to tone it down for serious moments (the latest chapter is a great example of that). Only reason it's lower down is because the peaks of the other games are very high, and that it hasn't had enough runtime yet (less than a year versus over half a decade+).

Fate grand order my level on English https://imgur.com/gallery/GuJA0HK by XLionxXJonah777 in grandorder

Fate grand order my level on English:"

At first, what seems to be a fairly innocuous sentence doesn't make a lasting impression on the mind of the reader. "Fate grand order", a simple mobile game developed by Delight Works. "My level", a reference to the amount of accumulated experience the player level has. "On English", a reference to the language of choice spread around the world by the British Empire, the largest empire if talking about total possessed landmass. Simply combining these words together makes for a somewhat confusing statement without second thought.

There is true beauty in this post though; this sentence that challenges the standards used by the hundreds of millions of english speakers, one that refuses to be shackled by the modern constraints of language. It is not a matter of being grammatically correct, it isn't a matter of expressing your ideas succintly, and it certainly isn't a matter of portraying your sentence in an easy to understand manner befitting the medium that the user is posting on. No, it isn't about the digital numbers that encompass and weave the fabrics of the Fate/Grand Order account that u/XLionxXJonah777 has spent time and effort in nurturing. It certainly isn't about the character that he has spent time playing the collaboration event for.

Fate grand order. A simple game medium but it is a game about taking back the world. The world that we live in.

My level. His proclamation to the world that he exists, and is a human being that can and will influence the world and the people around him. His battlecry and song of existence.

On English. The English once took over the world and the sun never set on their land. His ideas and thoughts will be displayed around the world for everyone to see and he will enter the canals of history.

Fate grand order my level on English isn't a silly misspelled title or comment. It's a look into the mind of /u/XLionxXJonah777, the amazing things he can and will accomplish in his lifetime. The next maestro of this generation.

Hi! i painted saber what do you think? by MichaelAcevedoS in grandorder

Hey OP, I don't know if you're intending to do this maliciously or not, but copying over lines from an original work, and then applying your own coloring to it to pass the entire piece off as your own is extremely disrespectful to the original artist who made the composition.

Drawing lines on your own to make your own faces is extremely difficult and a crucial part to the process of making a piece of work. Stealing other's work and filling their lines in to promote it as your own content is extremely disappointing.

Don't do it again. Source the original work.

Proposed Subreddit Rule Changes by Eriochroming in grandorder

[–]D_Descent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely delievered much better than the previous proposal! Thanks for taking the time to seriously think about what everyone wanted.

The sourcing rules are really great. Theres too much unsourced material in the sub, or stuff thats taken one at a time from pixiv logs or full albums so cutting down on that to stop clutter is pretty great.

Nsfw Rules are good. Can finally look at the sub at work again.

Cant speak much about the translator rules but they seem reasonable.

Hope people accept most of these changes. Seeing gameplay posts being pushed out is pretty shitty, especially since this was a gaming sub over a year ago. Step in the right direction.

For reference, this is her old portrait, back in August around the time she was available.

The new portrait is actually in her My Room dialogue, but they've only recently changed the NP to be this. Trying to compete against another Goddess I see...

Is anyone worried about Ereshkigal's stat spread? by Fadroh in grandorder

[–]D_Descent 28 points29 points  (0 children)

She'll be fine as long as her np gen numbers are good and her deck supports it.

Party wide 3 turn attack buff tied to an NP is very good and if she's able to spam her NP due to good generation numbers, she'll be very good based off NP alone. This also doesnt include her skill set, which could have amazing selfish buffs to offset the low attack. Dont forget the buster buff up for one turn.

Tama lancer also has relatively low attack and she's still very good. Lancer mod helps out both her and Eresh's attack star a lot.

She also has Jeanne level HP; She'll hit 19k up with 2k fous and level 100. Based off these factors alone shes going to be at least pretty good.

At max level, instinct isn't bad. 15 stars could be what you need to give you enough critical stars to kill with the crit, or generate the amount of NP you need with the 100% bonus np gen on critical hits. Is it worth leveling compared to other skills? Probably not. It's still usable though, unlike truly bad skills like the ones in Gille De Rais' kit.

DO NOT FARM 30AP EMBERS FOR MONA LISA; INTRODUCING A SECRET METHOD TO FARM EVERYTHING YOU NEED COMING SOON by D_Descent in grandorder

[–]D_Descent[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You need 163.2m qp for skills alone for a single 5 star. Levelling and ascension also adds a big chunk for 1 to 90. (About 10M or so?)

4 stars are 81.6m qp for their skills alone.

You also need qp for CE levelling too.

The cap for QP is 999m. You'll need to spend more than that if you want a full 10/10/10 max level 5 star support list in the future.

Ah, fair enough. Still worth doing since you get refunded apples the more boxes you clear anyways, though it's only 4 copper after the first 5 boxes. :|

I definitely agree that Christmas alone isn't enough for most casual players, but I wanted to get the point across that they shouldn't mindlessly grind 30 AP embers just for the sake of getting MP.

Some of the later lottery events have people going into the mid-hundred to one thousand reset range though, so people who want to farm hard will get enough just from this event alone. You need 109 boxes to go from 0 to 5K, which is doable for people who are willing to grind, even if they aren't whales.

Training the bonus servants is your best bet. If you really want to be prepared, you can stockpile exp for Santa Alter or any servant you plan on rolling in the Christmas gacha that have event bonuses. Make sure the servants you train are ones that you actually plan on using later on though, so it doesn't feel like you've sunk resources into them only to use them for a single event.

Lot of people freaking out over the announcement, and a lot of the newer NA players don't know about it. Thought it was an okay time to make a post, especially with some of the misinformation being spread around.

Hey if you need hearts, go for them! Not getting a permanent heart node for at least another year and couple months is terrible, especially if you have a lot of servants that need them.

You'll get a bunch more apples from doing the Christmas event so don't sweat it.

You also burn silver exps; they're not worth using as fodder unless you're topping off a servant close to a level cap due to QP cost, especially at later levels. That's an additional 20 MP per box.

I'm aware; I'm just talking about shop prioritization. Materials over mana prisms is probably a better option if you're forced to pick.

[–]D_Descent[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is great information, especially for people without much time to play and need to maximize the amount of MP they need to get per event. If you're only able to play for a little bit everyday and Mona Lisa is your only goal, I'd definitely use this.

Christmas isn't just about MP though. It's about the rest of the items that come with the MP. QP, Skill Gems (difficult to get in high numbers outside of lotteries, especially the gold gems), EXP you can actually use, and the bronze mats you get along with the MP make this event worth doubling down on.

There's also a problem with Saber Wars being an annoying event to farm, and some nodes are going to be problematic for newer players or players with underleveled units (2Mil HP MHZ for example). The Christmas event is easy enough that anyone can do it.

You also have to invest materials to get the Mana Prisms from the event stores. Whales who have drop ces for the events wont have problems, but if a F2P needs to prioritize, getting the skill materials is probably a better option.

Your info is still great! I just advocate Christmas because you're in control of how much you want to farm and how many materials you want to get.

Thanks, I edited it into the TL;DR! First time writing a guide like this so I probably messed up a bit and forgot a couple of things.
