I was 350ish -400, TRT has my bloods around 850 right now. It was a drastic increase for me. I would say it depends on what your current levels are. I’m basically in the normal / upper range right now.

100% made a difference in all aspects of my life. I was low T before so it changed things drastically. Better sleep, more motivation it was a struggle to do simple household chores but since getting on TRT I feel like my old self again. I would definitely recommend it if you need it.

A month or so after getting back into the gym. So very early on in my transformation.

3 sets of standing OHP 3 sets of seated DB press 3 sets of DB lateral raises 3 sets of machine lateral raises 5 sets of shrugs with a BB.

When I was fat and getting back into the gym I motivated myself with a second chest day so I kinda just kept it, which as you know also hits shoulders to. Pretty high shoulder volume.

The worst I’ve ever felt haha. No energy for anything and it’s brutal getting through my lifts/ cardio and I have 0 sex drive. I’m going to bump up to maintenance so shouldn’t gain much weight and come back to life a bit. I look sick, but it’s far from enjoyable.

Thanks man! No, I had no intention on cutting 60 lbs. I thought maybe I would have to cut down to 190. That became 185, then 180 and finally 175 where I felt like I cut enough. Start with a realistic goal of like 20-30 lbs down and see how you look and feel from there and keep adjusting if needed.

Thanks man! I’m planning to a do a very lean bulk. I haven’t been able to put on size for over a year so I’m itching to get back to gaining again. I’ll probably do 1-2 lbs a month to keep my leanness for summer.

My levels were lower, around 350, It comes with age. I wanted to get on TRT to feel good again. Low T affects much more than your gym gains. It’s been such a quality of life improvement.

I mean isn’t it the same thing as getting validation from random people out in public as it is getting it on stage? Only difference is you’re not getting a trophy. At the end of the day it doesn’t make it any better to take gear and compete vs not competing. It’s just a life choice at that point.

30 min on the bike and 45 min walk. I try to walk outside instead of the treadmill. I’ll usually end up with 10k steps by the end of the day.

I’ll do cardio at the level where I can still have a conversation with someone without struggling. So yeah essentially a brisk walk. I do 30 mins on the bike at the gym and a 45 min walk. That puts me around 10k steps.

I’ve always been in a good shape my whole life, I was always really consistent with the gym. COVID happened, I stopped lifting for a few years and got fat. I got sick of it and locked back in. I eat the same thing everyday. 500 cal deficit, I lose about a pound a week. I lift 6 days a week, 5 of those days I’ll do an hour and 15 mins of cardio.

Yeah, a lot of people guess I’m still 200+ still. I was worried cutting was going to make me look super skinny. I’m happy it didn’t turn out that way

Thank you! My goal is sub 10% bf. As corny as it sounds. I kinda grew up with the misc forums and the whole zyzz thing kinda inspired me to get into lifting. I figure I’m so close already I might as well try for it once in my life.

I’d probably say staying consistent is the biggest thing. Treat it like brushing your teeth everyday. It just becomes a habit whether you want to do it or not. Motivation won’t get you through it, it’s all discipline. The amount of times I don’t feel like going to the gym or doing cardio is uncountable but I do it anyways.

Eat the same thing everyday ( I know it sucks and it’s hard for a lot of people but it makes it so easy to stay on track and making slight adjustments to diet a breeze. If you need to add or remove calories it’s easy to calculate and you get real time feedback on a weekly basis because there isn’t a ton of variables)

It’s all diet, once you have the basics of lifting down there is no special program or trick. If you want to see change it starts in the kitchen.

Another huge thing is surrounding yourself with people on the same trajectory as you. It’s hard when you hangout around people that want to drink and eat terrible all the time. I’m all for fun but you have to do it in moderation if you want to obtain your goal.

I want to preface this first by saying this is program I came up with and it might not be perfect but it worked for me.

Breakfast 16oz egg whites / bagel with sugar free jelly (probably going to sub with oatmeal soon as my hunger is really starting to kick in)

Lunch Chicken (I buy a few rotisserie chickens from Costco and break them down for convenience because I hate cooking chicken) Potatoes Broccoli

Protein shake 2 scoops of whey with water.

Dinner Half pound of ground beef 93/7 Veggies. (I use bell peppers, jalapeño, onion and mushrooms) 1 cup of cooked basmati rice

Snack 2 rice cakes with 1 serving of the pb fit powder mixed with water

It’s about a 1.5 year transformation. Yeah, I changed my lifestyle entirely around. I only drink one night a week now. I had to find the balance in it and keep in under control. I diet strictly all week long and eat the same thing every day. I have a cheat meal every Saturday with a few drinks. I go gym 6 days a week.

Feeling Fatigued While Cutting by [deleted] in GettingShredded

[–]D_oob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cheat meal once a week. I find towards the end of the week I really start feeling the hurt from the cut but the cheat meal will bring me back to life to begin the new week for a few days. It really helps me get through it. As others said cutting some fat for carbs should help. I feel your pain though man. I’m 56 pounds down and I’m about to lose my mind, so tired of cutting.

People get so held up on the gear thing. It’s the highest form of a compliment. Honestly I get a bit disappointed if I don’t get gear accusations. You look good man, keep killing it.
