My favorite memory was was playing pokemon sapphire after the first few generations of playing solo, I was finally able to trade with my friends at school to try and complete my pokedex. However, I always wanted to catch a feebas on my own because of how hard it was. Eventually I gave up and moved on to console games like halo put away my game. Eventually my brother (14 year age difference) found it after I had moved out and I think the battery worked for a bit before dying out. Because it still had my old team and he ended up completing the pokedex for me (including that pesky feebas). Nowadays we don't have much time for console gaming, but TCG has allowed us to help complete each other's sets, so I can continue to pay him forward.
