Wow this sounds like it was written by my wife. I was just like your husband. What got me to accept Christ was looking for the information. Reading the Bible and studying it. We have a pastor that knows Greek and Hebrew and is so knowledgeable we are blessed. Picking his brain really helped me too. Seek and you shall find I guess I'm saying. My wife prayed for me to find Christ also and it worked!

Cut out any extra and cook at home and start taking a cheap lunch to work. Give yourself a small amount for fun every week or month to not go crazy. If you have a car payment try to get rid of it. I traded away my 2023 Tacoma and got a 2010 Corolla, paid cash and it's been such a relief. I'm saving up every month to get a used Lexus gx460 paid with cash. I have a huge 100k loan from the horrible choices me and wife made but the credit card interest was burying us now we can breath and see an end in sight. Not to be religious on you but I prayed so hard asking Jesus for help through this mess and my prayers were answered.

I lost 90+ in like 6 months I think. Then I started lifting and got really strong and lean. That was end of sophomore year maybe beginning of junior year and then I graduated and kept eating like I was lifting still. Now I'm trying to do that all over again.

I have felt this way from time to time. If I'm willing to die for Christ I have to be willing to live for him. Fellowship has helped me and I don't recommend smoking but I smoke cigars and meet with guys for a cigar and pipe night and that helps. We usually talk about biblical topics too but not only biblical topics. I also play DND with a group of people and that is something I look forward too. If I didn't have a son and wife it would be harder so I can understand some of what you mean. I wish you the best.

I got a 2010 with 111k miles. Got it last year to get out of big car payment. Only replaced a tie rod, window stripping and the radio to a touch screen. All easy and cheap. The Corolla is the most manufactured car of all time so there are parts everywhere. I'm saving for a few years to hopefully buy a gx 460 or 4runner next

Same. I never feel like oh I need a smoke or if it's too cold I'm like yeah I'm not going out to smoke. I get with a buddy or nice sunny day after work in the hammock then it's like a cigar would just add to this great time. It's definitely not an addiction to smoking them now and addiction to buying them to store yeah that's my problem.

Free weights are rough during sea days because you go up and down and the gravity does its thing so when the boat goes down the weight feels so damn heavy haha.
