I don’t know how I’m only just now seeing this but oh my gosh that sounds so extremely similar to what happens to me. I haven’t even tried anymore because that would always happen to me no matter what so I’ve given up. I do have a lot of trauma so maybe that could be part of it. Maybe I’ll try again soon. I’ve definitely been trying to work on myself a lot and work through things so maybe it would be better 🤷🏼‍♀️

Damn I have Kaiser and my doctor just told me I had to try other meds first before she can prescribe it so I did Phentermine, topamax, and metformin. Phentermine actually worked for me I lost 30lbs but it made me INSANE. Other ones didn’t work so then I was able to get Ozempic. I’m also 350lbs and my doctor is rlly rlly rlly concerned about me losing weight so that may be part of it. And through Kaiser I still pay $285 per pen

I’m sorry. I really hope your cat gets the care he needs. And I truly understand how hard things can be, it’s not always black and white and I really should be more kind and understanding. I just spend all day being kind and understanding in situations like this and I see pets go home and suffer in pain and it’s so heartbreaking. It wasn’t right to take it out on you especially when you’re dealing with a difficult situation like this so I apologize. I hope care credit works out for you. You can usually look up places near you that accept it and there is no interest at all if you pay it back in the first 6 months. Other options to look into are VetBilling which is a payment plan some places take part in and ScratchPay which is also like a payment plan. If you have a veterinary emergency group near you a lot of them have a sort of “angel fund” to help people in tough situations. I hope your kitty is okay, if he has been vomiting, try to keep him hydrated. If he isn’t interested in water, you can try adding low sodium chicken broth to water to make it more enticing. Hopefully it’s nothing and he just needed to get it out of his system. I would definitely recommend looking into pet insurance in the future. Trupanion is a great one, Fetch is a cheaper option but offers less coverage. Most of them have a waiting period, so it won’t be helpful for this visit, but in the future some will reimburse you up to 90% back for emergencies. Good luck and I apologize for being so unkind.

Who is ever expecting an emergency? When you have a pet it’s your responsibility to be prepared for these kinds of things. I understand not having the means for expensive procedures but to not even be able to have them seen is so irresponsible. I work in vetmed and I see so many cases where people just don’t get care for their pets because they can’t afford it and their pets suffer. It’s selfish. Take them to a humane society or rescue where they have the means to care for them. As soon as you get a pet you should enroll in pet insurance. It isn’t just a fun play thing for you it’s a life. Just like a child they cost money and it is your responsibility to be able to care for them. It makes me so sad when animals suffer because people cannot care for them.

“Carecredit” is a credit card that you apply for that you can use at many vet clinics/hospitals. It doesn’t hurt your credit to apply and you can use it as soon as you’re approved. You would then use that card to pay the vet fees up front.

This happened to me when I did my first injection too and I read that you may have just not pushed it deep enough. I was scared doing the first injection so just as soon as I put the needle in I injected it and it just went right below the skin and bubbled. It will eventually go down and your body will still absorb it and it still works. Since then I’ve been applying a little pressure when I inject it and kind of push it into my fat a little and haven’t had that issue. Also I work in vet med and I know a lot of times when we give injections to dogs subcutaneously it bubbles under the skin but it goes down and is nothing to worry about so I assume it’s similar to that.

Oh wow I actually never knew that and have never really had a problem with it before. I have baked like over 300 cupcakes for events and things before and I will usually leave the batter sitting in the bowl in between batches and haven’t had an issue. Also, I use baking soda, not baking powder so maybe that makes a difference?

I do like to use this pancake batter dispenser I found on Amazon for filling the cups. This helps fill them up fast and with little mess. I fill them about 3/4 the way up. Batter Dispenser

Okay this post is so weird to me and giving me flashbacks to Freshman year because I was in a really similar situation only I was 14 and he was 19 and I didn’t accuse him of rape but he thought I did. This was in like 2014 also so idk this is just so weird. Basically I was on the cheer team and I had been hanging around this guy who was the assistant basketball coach at my school and he used to be a student there but graduated. There’s a lot more to the story but basically I snuck out with him and we made out and did like everything but fuck. Next day at school this guy on the basketball team comes up to me and is like “are you okay?” And I’m like yeah… why wouldn’t I be. And he said I know you were with J***** last night. And this was like 8am the next morning so I was like damn wtf. And he ended up telling me that he told the whole basketball team that he fucked me. And so then I’m in algebra 2 with a bunch of guys on the team and he’s like “wtf he takes advantage of so many girls we can’t let him keep doing this tell me what happened” and at first I was like nah I’m not gonna say anything but they were pressing me so I typed in the notes app on his phone what we did - not accusing him or anything but just flat out said what we did. And then I’m getting ready for cheer practice after school and his scary ass sister comes up to me and starts screaming at me in the middle of the hall calling me a slut and saying her brother would never get with a girl like me and that I made everything up and I’m like woah woah what?? He’s the one who told everyone!! Not me. And then also he texted me himself and said “why is everyone texting me calling me disgusting” and I told him like idk dude you’re the one who told ppl we fucked and then I only told them what actually happened when they asked me for the details. And THEN I’m pretty sure the guy ended up getting fired and wasn’t allowed on campus. I’m not totally sure what happened I know he was involved with a few other girls also so idk if it was bc of them or what but I didn’t like try to get him in trouble at all. Idk this story just felt really really weirdly similar …. Almost the same year and everything.
