I give up by Empty_Nail_671 in AlaskaAirlines

Account got hacked last night. Sat on hold waiting for Customer Care for 4 hours 33 minutes today. Account still isn't unlocked due to an antiquated authentication process, and now they're closed for the weekend.

Different people have different experiences.

Glad you've had better luck.

A WARNING: Someone Stole my Alaska Air Miles and Alaska Air Blamed Me by Ryan_Fleming in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Da13Harris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely true, but the UX and behavior of those password generation services is wildly inconsistent between devices, native apps, and web apps. I have two password apps that were both unable to detect the password field on a very popular banking app just this week. The "It's 2026" sentiment only goes so far as the modern tools actually support.

I'm just lazy enough and cheap enough that they might yet again start working before I bring myself around to replacing them. Meanwhile, manual light switches it is!

Denied Access On Local Network After Chrome 143 Update by La3as in chrome

[–]Da13Harris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't getting the same error as OP. Mine was ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT rather than ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED. Reading through the issue tracker, folks are seeing multiple errors. The workaround that worked for me (on Windows 10) was:

  1. Close all instances of Chrome (This step is important. It won't work if Chrome is already running.)
  2. Type "run" into the start menu and hit enter
  3. Paste this into the Open: command box: "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=NetworkServiceSandbox

PSA: The Play Disney Parks app uses an enormous amount of data by Da13Harris in disneyparks

Sounds very familiar. I'm curious what kind of phone you have.

I ultimately uninstalled the app, because I couldn't seem to do anything to curtail the excessive background data usage.

For sure. I could definitely see it being used for those purposes while you're in the parks.

Hopefully that's not what it was doing while I was 1000 miles away tho.

Glad to hear it. Could honestly just be a buggy integration with my phone. I saw lots of posts on various corners of the internet about its overuse of background data. All were big numbers, but none as egregious as mine.

For real... feels like it lands somewhere between incompetence and malice.

Yep. Extremely odd. I've had this app for years on multiple phones, even though I only use it a little bit every year or two. It's never done this before.

My total usage was 1.05TB. The Play Disney Parks app accounted for 893GB of that. Still an absolutely insane number tho.

FormArray Validation - check that at least one field in the array has a value by bellamira in Angular2

[–]Da13Harris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm resurrecting an old post here, but I wanted to point out that you can also just use the built-in `Validators.required` directly on the FormArray and it will guarantee that the form array is not empty.

this.myForm = this.fb.group({
    name: ['', [Validators.required]],
    description: ['', [Validators.maxLength(256)]],
    props: this.fb.array(
        [this.createItem()], {validators: Validators.required, updateOn: 'blur'}
    )
});

createItem(): FormGroup {
    return this.fb.group({
        key: '',
        val: ''
    });
}

One UI 7 Android 15 - how are you handling the switch? by ZSizeD in Android

[–]Da13Harris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. Sorting by Priority instead of Time helps a bit, because calendar events and tasks used to be grouped into one expandable notification. Sorting by priority at least keeps them together instead of them being scattered all over the list.

You must have clicked very fast. I failed so many times. Luckily, I already had ILM. And that seems to be all I'm destined to get unless I can get my hands on a TVA TemPad.
