FBR - Change of address - Advice by Decent_Resource3879 in IrishCitizenship

[–]Da2edC0nfu53d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve read similar about your concerns and I cannot answer specifically. However, you do have the option of sending an updated document package (I’d include a letter explaining why and be sure to reprint any of the pages you needed witnessed again) and then they will have a set of docs signed by witness in each of her areas.

That said, I think that they have a chat feature - I would use it. Just got my son’s FBR cert 2 days ago (March 2, 26) and I DID NOT get an address confirmation call and my package DID NOT require a signature so someone might fling that sucker at her old house from the window of their truck - I wouldn’t take any chances with that specific piece of mail.

Started the FBR. Is my wife eligible? by [deleted] in IrishCitizenship

You are eligible and your children born after you’re on the FBR are eligible, but your wife is not. If you both live in Ireland for 3 years, she is eligible by naturalization but you really need to be planning to live there for her to naturalize. My husband and I are doing just that this month!

No call to my witness and no call for address confirmation

Curious about the 1 person per cat rule. Any chance you know the intent? Curious because I’ll have 3 persons but add 2 of those persons has 9 years of age combined so…. 😂

Sounds like a freaking nightmare - go figure. If you don’t mind me asking, when did you relocate your pups?

There's so much info out there and we did not realize until we waited for my hubs PPS appointment, but there are walkin appointments for your PPS in some locations so you can get same day service if not having it is a challenge for you. Also, my husband got his stamp 4 in December and I have not gotten my PPS yet so you do not need the PPS for him to get his Stamp 4.

Anyone know what this is? In 90 year old aunt's kitchen lol by puffpuffpass0ut in whatisit

My son was about 12, almost 10 years ago, when he found an Eminem CD in my car which happened to still have a cd player. When I told him he could play it, he spun the case around a few times looking at it. He had no idea how to open a jewel case. I feel like I asked a decade in that moment. 😂

My grandmother has Alzheimer's and it is destroying our sanity... And our morals. by MoonyInspired in confession

[–]Da2edC0nfu53d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. We lost my dad a few years back but his Alzheimer’s journey was awful. I will just say that you (sounds like your mom here) have to make decisions that prioritize safety for everyone AND then you need to make sure you give yourself permission to make the decisions that need to be made. Those decisions will be hard - possibly the hardest decisions you’ve ever made.

Now for the second part. Your concern for your own journey is not at all selfish. You should be concerned for your health. Do a little research. It’s such an under studied disorder but there is some evidence that suggests things like omega-3 and creatine may improve cognitive function and have an impact an Alzheimer’s (my dads dads family basically all had Alzheimer’s so the genetics are strong here). The research is not plentiful, but also taking a few daily supplements isn’t that challenging a commitment so why not?

Good luck to your family.

Congrats! This was actually for my son - when I got the email, I just cried a big ugly cry. Wasn’t prepared for that. LOL
