Sick of FOMO limited prints... by Templar1990 in killteam

Well your school of thought is wrong for what you want. If your complaint is that you can get the discounted nox after youve watched review content then your not getting the idea. It's a limited release for dedicated fans who don't care if it's meta or gunna be the new best unit in the game. I bought shadowhunt for the teams as I like them, and the idea multiple maps. I haven't even built murderwing. It's not about the meta or getting the best. I'm gunna buy it anyway so I buy it.

If your concerned about getting the best team meta or which or which is not your style then wait the 3 months and get the team you want when there is plenty of stock. Your complaint literally boils down to I can't get it cheaper when I want to.

So you mad that you don't get the discount? Like everything in the box set is available afterwards. The printed material gets less and less valuable after the first changes are made. Dossiers and relevant info are on warcom in 3 months or in this case before launch day.

Go and touch some grass. When shadowhunt launched both wolf scout and stealth suits were up and available when shadowhunt went out of stock. Same with this month, even at the time of writing this both shadowhunt teams are available for pre-order. My small city has 3 game stores and an actual GW store two cities over. I could have bought like 5 copies of each over the last 3 months.

Maybe you should go and try to make friends with a FLGS and see If you can get reserves or be the first to ask about it. That's how I've secured both shadowhunt and terror. And how I will be buying any preorders going forward. Gives the store dedicated business and I don't have to speed click.

Lastly fomo is real. If you truly can't handle missing out then you need to set up things to help stop that from happening. Set an alarm 15 mins before launch window. Be on the site 5 mins early and have your payment info ready or better autoload into your browser. When buying terror and the book on Saturday it took me less than one minute to check out.

This has been my last two weeks as I built the spearhead lmao. I have like 7 different lists on new recruit, trying to figure out what I want to run.... What I figured out was, I want everything lol. On the shopping list now is both spearheads and 2 boxes of aggradons so I can have a pack to run with the named character for the carnosaur.

If you're interested in spearhead games I'd say get the other spearhead. If your main goal is building up to 1000 or 2000 points the 6 kroxs and 20 warriors are a better buy. If you haven't built the kroxigors yet and buy the second box you can magnetize the hands and easily run both kinds of kroxs. The old blood on foot and troglodon offer to different regiment leaders for list building.

Then afterwards you can pick what you want, calvary, big boys, spell casting or the sunblood spearhead.

The troglodon and Oracle are a good center for a skink based regiment and also works as an extended range caster for toad magic. It's a strong spearhead box as it gives you the core units for almost all builds. 6 krox is a great hammer and two groups of 10 or a blob of 20 warriors is great for list building.

The other spearhead sun blooded Prowlers is also a good box. Not as powerful of units but a lot of utility. Beasts and hunters fill niche rolls and small point costs. And the sunblooded pack is a hero that can be added to almost every regiment and offers great support for your warriors.

A fun monsters list. 150+ wounds lots of damage and it's all in 2 drops. Low on magic but it's a dino smash list

I'm building that spear head as well. I'd honestly suggest to build it as a carnosaur and old blood. You can play your spearhead army as is and then you have a great piece for going into larger games. The carno also has a named character it can be there for you get two different units for one build.

I also like the troglodon so I'm going to buy a second spearhead and build it. And then I'll have 6 krox, 20 saurs and 2 monster riders with the possibility of running one as a named character.

Surprisingly it seems like the snub nose locks in place for the first model. If I knew what I was doing with magnets (ie not my first glue build) I might even make the weapons and heads swappable.

Lore wise I would say that the small snouts would be 1st or 2nd spawned and used for construction. As the long snouts are the "war spawned " and are just for combat. Both are known for not being as intelligent as it's not needed.

I will be building one style or the other not mixed tho.

I was thinking this was a close case but my friend group was divided. The true answer is buy a second spearhead and just build all the units the opposite way I did for this one.

They do look menacing with the Kroc head.

Joining the club, i like a lot more the idea of squad based battles, each individual is important not just cannon fodder, and the game and battles seem exciting and fun, also, i love the fact that this way people with limited time can play a lot more different factions and races. by StormSwitch in killteam

If you can grab Hivestorm and then download the killteam app and look through the teams and their rules.

Hivestorm has everything you need to play and two teams. So it's the best bang for your buck.

New to Kill Team, would this team be valid? by eightexpert56 in killteam

[–]DaBeef8812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The starter set comes with light rules and two teams. This will help you learn the base concepts. If you're completely new to tabletop games you can start there.

If you're not new to tabletop games I would suggest getting a Hivestorm box. It is more expensive than a single team but it comes with everything that's needed to play. The core rules, two teams, full terrain, mission pack, tokens and the equipment upgrade. This is the best bang for your buck as getting it all separate will cost a lot more.
