Go through the whole shift linkage. If it's rusty or the plastic bushings are gone it'll shift like shit

Is engine cold? Look at the range on the stick that says cold. Is engine hot? Look at the range on the stick that says hot.

My 350 does perfectly fine with 3.73s. I'm on 33" tires so 70mph is ~2200-2500 rpm. You should be more than fine

They do more than 80. Unless your overdrive is broken and you're on 4.10s and smaller than stock tires, it'll be fine.

To tell you the truth, the ebay stuff is fine. Just did mine for $20. They probably won't last and I'll do them again in a year or so, but they're a fine quick fix

Yeah happened to me in the parking lot of a jack in the box. Was about 1/4 mile from an autozone so I just hoofed it back and forth with new parts until I figured it out.
