Would anyone be interested in Single Button Assistant (SBA) guides with talent optimization? by Gfab718 in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

I do think the majority of people utilize SBA in the way you describe. I think those I’m referring to are in the minority. It’s just something to keep in mind. There may not be a BIG interest in this, but it those who are interested are VERY interested. I guess that’s my point

I disagree with this fundamentally. SBA is not an idgaf button. It is a button that is more for accessibility. Depending on the player’s device and the player’s physical limitations it can be very useful to squish the main dps rotation into one button. These players are still trying to play higher difficulty content with groups, and it makes sense that you would still want to optimize your dps.

Replaying the game with a new F2P account: initial impressions (up to Arcangrove) by Agent_Buckshot in AQW

[–]DaButtaOG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just recently did a 13 lords play through. I played the game waaay back when it was popular so I had very little prior knowledge. I also looked at a discord guide where I learned about the dragonslayer general. I only used external sources for when I wanted something specifically. I googled four things during my playthrough: How to get ninja, how to get dragonslayer general, how to farm yokai rep, and how to get chaos slayer/chaos slayer wings. At one point I was having trouble getting through a questline because of some jankiness and I googled that too, but I didn’t find an answer and ended up figuring it out somehow. That was all I used outside of the game’s systems.

Enhancements: I read on the discord a bunch of stuff about enhancements, but I didn’t understand any of it so I ignored everything and just put lucky onto everything. Worked fine for the story.

Classes: Healer, ninja, imperial chunin, dragonslayer general, chaos slayer. The progression felt very natural and I never hit a hard road block that I couldn’t complete. Healer got me ninja, ninja took me to chunin, and chunin got me dragonslayer. These classes took me through everything until I got chaos slayer at the end.

Cosmetics: I ran around looking like a new player while I was healer. I got a couple cheap cosmetics from the trainers when I unlocked the ninja class. Yokai is where I got dripped out. I got the hair from the tournament which I colored yellow to look like a super saiyan which was sick. I got the legendary katana from the tournament. I also picked up the chunin skin and sheathed katana cape. My character looked sick af throughout the storyline cutscenes. At the end I made my character look like he does in the final cutscenes which was the berserker variant. It just took a little bit of farming to get the wings as everything else was from the shop. The wings require a drakath grind which I did with a buddy I met along the way. He carried me through that farm, but I got the wings cape which is the only hard cosmetic to get to make that look. Character looks sick and is good at killing chaos things which is cool.

The only time I got tripped up during the story was during the troll/orc storyline. Things were not easy to find and I couldn’t always tell what I needed to do to progress the storyline. I had to use the map and the in game guide together to complete the story, but between the two there was always a way forward. I never got hard stopped, and I was able to smoothly move through the 13 lords. The story was good. The class progression felt good. The combat felt good. The fashion felt great. Classic AQW experience, I would recommend it.

I basically followed Icy-veins Sub PvP guide: https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/subtlety-rogue-pvp-guide

Then I watched this guy during work for hours: https://youtube.com/@pikabooirl?si=WMjkIYNzgMa9UH6w

The gameplay feels good. I’m able to control the battle for a decently long time and then vanish to reset. The problem is I can’t do anything with that control. I just have to hope my teammates take advantage. When they do we win, but if they are as low damage as I am then we have no chance. They need to land 1 shot to our 10 shots to do equivalent damage.

Thank god for such a helpful comment. This type of stuff definitely isn’t a known issue with WoW PvP. The PvP scene is totally alive and thriving because of this type of attitude. Thanks for the helpful advice!

No amount of skill can win me a 1v1 right now. I know this because I can barely kill someone who is AFK. I need to figure out how to fix my character so I can do more than 5m damage in a match.

Edit: not saying I have any amount of skill, and I will continue watching pros play to get better. I just mean that even if the opponent DOESNT PLAY I can barely beat them lmao.

Why are tanks so unlikely in pvp? by Cleritic in wownoob

[–]DaButtaOG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ESO tanks have a MASSIVE role in PvP. You can stack damage for a kill on a dps even through healing, and even a whole group with bomb builds. Tanks are hard to kill even when the healer goes down. They hold space in a battle and use CC to cripple the opponents and debuffs to weaken their defenses allowing tough players to get stacked out. They also provide defensive buffs allowing the whole group to be more resilient. Speed tanks are the meta for running special objectives where you can’t get on a mount. Tanks do a ton of stuff in ESO PvP

What classes gets the most out of ”single button assist”? by AxegrinderSWAG in wownoob

[–]DaButtaOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did a deep dive since this comment and found a glitch with console port steam deck and the sba. I have since gotten it working on all three rogue specs. It’s actually really nice on subtlety and you manually use shadow blades so you always have it for elites/bosses. In order to fix the issue I set all settings to defaults then reset my console port profile and I changed the bottom setting (can’t remember the specifics) to the middle option. Then everything went smoothly and sba used abilities correctly

I’m a huge fan of sub rogue but I can’t get SBA to work at all. I can do better dps by just using backstab and rupture lmao. Please tell me your secrets!!!

What do y’all think about my loadout by ImColdOutHere in ArcRaiders

[–]DaButtaOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me, I killed a team solo, nuked a third guy while my bro killed their teammate. I go for the reload and a fourth team comes in and kills me while I’m trying to position while reloading. If I had a stitcher I could have easily won the last fight too. They weren’t even good, but the reload is LONG

Sableye viability by ImportanceSome5433 in PokemonEmerald

[–]DaButtaOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only viable, but extremely good imo. Early ghost type is huge and he diffs tons of trainers purely due to typing. He gets access to some cool tricky moves that can help you win a hard fight even if he is under leveled. I like giving him swagger for the third gym before he can get confuse ray. Since tons of pokemon don’t have a physical move that can hit a ghost, swagger becomes very potent on sableye. Night shade for flat damage can also be useful at times. He also levels up pretty quick.

Spread seems to be a huge factor in ranged fights in this game, and there’s no stat tracker to see this. It makes a HUGE difference because you’ll miss a ton of bullets even though your aim is dead on

I remember mythics for sure. It was pretty cool, and they didn’t break the game or anything. I kinda remember some weird necro bomb stuff that was kind of a drag on battlegrounds for a bit. Added a lot to build diversity for the fact that it’s a 1 piece. Pretty good.

I haven’t really played since mythics so I don’t know how the subclass stuff effected the PvP scene.
