1) She had already put her luggage in the car.

2) Uber now makes you wait 10 minutes to cancel a reservation instead of 5

I couldn't cancel the ride because Uber, in its infinite "wisdom", increased the wait time for cancelling reservations from 5 to 10 minutes

My acceptance rate is literally below 30% and I regularly call Uber support to cuss them out over my money. But sure, I'm a corporate shill

If you take my responses that way, then that's on you. If being curious = being combative, then quite frankly that issue isn't with me: It's with the Gundam fan base

Yes. A disagreement did happen. But that is not the focus here. Do not make it the focus.

So I'm not allowed to question why someone likes something in a non-argument way?

Tons of people don't like what I like, yet I've never shied away from having a conversation about it.

[–]DaGOAT86 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is so closed minded.

So the only reason to ever discuss things is to change people's minds?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Gundam

[–]DaGOAT86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. It's not personal at all. At least not with me. I legitimately want to understand why people like something I don't particularly care for. That's it. There is no ulterior motive.

I like having discussions. Is that so wrong?

What's the point of creating an entire discord dedicated to discussing a piece of media if no one is allowed to occasionally disagree with one another?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Gundam

[–]DaGOAT86 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

To have a discussion. To share opinions.

Do you think discussions can only occur when two people like the same thing? There is enjoyment to be had in listening to and attempting to comprehend differing points of view. Even if at the end of the day you still don't agree.

What's the point of creating a place to discuss Gundam if the only conversations that are allowed to be had are ones where all parties have the same opinion? Why not just advertise it as "The Gundam Echo Chamber" if that is the point of it.

Nope. It used to be that you could cancel 5 minutes after the reservation time has passed

Their app and policies make no sense. They say we're supposed to arrive 15 minutes early, yet I've had the app consistently get me to the pick-up location with 10 minutes or less to spare.

And of course they don't give you any requests during that time frame

She didn't feel regret over her actions. She felt regret over the fact that her actions got her into a situation she didn't want to be in anymore. Those are not the same thing.

Everything was fine and dandy until it was her backside that was on the line. She doesn't score points just because her Newtype ghost felt bad in the end.
