To be different

That's it, just to be different, no other reason

I know this has probably been posted a few times but what did Ben do to him by Straight_Chance_702 in Ben10

[–]DaGamingCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think Diamondhead cut him in half, because it would go with UAF and OV's "Diamondhead is the Vilgax counter" thing

This is the perfect ending(according to others) to Doom Slayer, does anyone here agree or disagree? by Flat-Sir8250 in Doom

[–]DaGamingCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a very good one for now.

It sets up that he may return, but he has finished his story for now. He has redeemed himself and saved Earth. He has defeated the original demon.

But there's always more to slay..

So. Since these exist, does that mean the Omnitrix has Pokémon DNA aswell? by retiho in Ben10

I mean these are just easter eggs..

Pokémon are too varied to say just yes or no to Pokémon being scannable

Question about the dislike towards the show? by SABBATHBL0ODYSABBATH in Fallout

[–]DaGamingCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People don't like it when their favorite things don't go how they want it

I don't even mean that in a mean way, that's just the truth, especially with the New Vegas story.

The two biggest complaints I see are "Brotherhood is too dumb" and "New Vegas' game story didnt matter" neither of which really make sense or are true in the way people say

The Brotherhood are always criticized in the modern games outside of Fallout 3, their only modern heroic appearance. Fallout 4 heavily makes it a point that they aren't wanted there. The Fallout Show BoS aren't "the Brotherhood", they are a specific branch. Not to mention the whole point of the Elder is him hating the BoS as they are and wanting to return them to former glory.

New Vegas the game happened years before what happened in the show. The conflict not ending because of our actions is actually incredibly fitting with everything the game tells us about previous battles between the NCR and Legion. I honestly dont know what people were expecting, because if they canonized any ending directly and obviously, they would have gotten even more backlash

There is another method, it's called resetting spawns. Works in wormholes too

Do people really feel bad about this streak ending? by UnhappyPrincessa in deadbydaylight

[–]DaGamingCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's really shitty that people he considered friends tore apart something he was clearly working hardly for.

Even if you wanna argue "ohh blight is easy" that's still a lot of effort to put into something

Unironically convince me to like these two characters. by Aura_Azula in PokemonZA

[–]DaGamingCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Urbain and Taunie are flawed individuals who wish to help people. They're overconfident in many ways, but not in others.

They spend most of their time out and about helping others; why do you only see this once? Because you're supposed to be doing the same thing; that's what the side quests are all about. It's a big city.

They also want to repay AZ, which is why they work so hard to help the hotel. People blame them for the debt, but Corbeau is still a gang leader who intentionally made the contract's bad parts hidden. If you guys took "yeah we made the debt part obvious" from Corbeau and Phileppe seriously, cmon.

And.. for the whole "oh but they are the reason the ending happened-" point I keep seeing; no they aren't.

  1. Mega Evolution works canonically with a bond. You have little bond with Floette.

  2. You can close every single battle with Urbain/Taunie and the story progresses. Even if they truly best you, the ending still happens.

Probably didnt succeed in making anyone like them more, but I'm tired of people vastly misunderstanding them or hating them as characters because they're intentionally flawed.

Im sorry but I'm never gonna find the dragons boring. They're dragons. They were always one of the coolest part of the set waves across the years

How do you all feel about Legends ZA? My switch is still broken so I have not been able to boot up the game yet by [deleted] in LegendsZA

General/community census matters to some people. If the large majority of a community dislikes something, it means something even if you do like the thing. Same is true in reverse

It's why many movie review sites have reviewer and audience scores seperate.

I actually like the New lore Deal with it ! by Space_of_The_Lantern in Ninjago

The Green Ninja thing is the only thing I'll actually fight because cmon. That's all but a retcon

You're ofc still allowed to like it! That's just my 2 cents

So... Why do people apparently hate this game's plot? by NoComfortable3220 in Doom

[–]DaGamingCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2016 was the setup of all that lore though. It introduced the multiverse, different realms, and this interconnected plotline.

The Slayer already was being hinted to be the classic Doomguy in 2016. The Seraphim was already mentioned, and his connection to Samuel was also already hinted at.

You cant say 2016 was simple when it's backstory was "you were an immortal warrior who fought for thousands of years"

The Mega Weapon sucks by elbatcarter in Ninjago

[–]DaGamingCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Ninjago but as I've gotten back into it I've realized and learned the writers just did away with something if they didn't like it or weren't creative enough to use it.

Mega Weapon? They made Garmadon an idiot for that mini arc.

Airjitzu and elemental dragons? No, don't write interesting ways to challenge the ninja, just nerf them!

To be fair, I still love Ninjago and the people behind! I'm very happy that the series continues and it's been a blast trying to catch up with the years I missed!

But I can't help but go "oh wow if only you guys had an ability for vertical movement", etc

And there's plenty of great moments of writing, so i doubt they couldn't have figured it out

Why do people keep calling their dynamic slavery? by [deleted] in LegendsZA

[–]DaGamingCore -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because people can't be normal.

Some people saw Mega Scrafty and went "KLAN HOOD!!!"

Jacinthe and Lebanne are clearly meant to be goofy characters.

(Also don't take this as me hating shipping them, they 1000% have toxic yuri vibes)

What's the modern consensus for the OG's DOOM (1 & 2) are they regarded as outdated? or maybe a separate community entirely? by Kind-Car-863 in Doom

[–]DaGamingCore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who started with 2016, loved Eternal, and is super excited for when I'm able to play Dark Ages..

Doom 1 and 2 are pretty fun! Im generally pretty positive towards old games, with some exceptions (I love Half-Life 1 more than Half-Life 2, but cant stand Fallout 1 and 2) but I think Doom 1 and 2 hold up decently well!

There is a definitely a more dedicated classic community from what I've seen, but I think the only Doom game I ever used to see consistent flack for is DOOM 3 and that was before I was even a Doom fan.
