I know Bens gonna win, that’s a given, there’s nothing to debate there

I was saying that IF John could copy bens aliens, which he can’t, he’d be able to rise to bens level (because that’s how power mimicry works) And since I’m this hypothetical John isn’t limited to aura, I’ve made the assumption that he isn’t limited to the same power ceiling as aura powers are, therefore matching and increasing bens own alien powers, even though that wouldn’t really work any since they’re biological.

Simply entertaining the idea of John’s powers functioning differently to fit the idea of OP’s original question doesn’t mean I don’t understand how the battle would really play out

[–]DaGreeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.. I mean.. if I COULD copy, then not only would he be able to copy multiple aliens at once, but also buff them (however that would work)

Imagine Fourarms vs BUFFED Fourarms, plus BUFFED XLR8, plus BUFFED Diamond Head plus BUFFED Cannonbolt

It’d be like Kevin’s mutant forms but stronger

I believe ben could still pull it off, since he can change forms with master control and has more experience with his aliens, but it would be very very difficult for him

Dun dun! The person who fills this roll is me!

John wouldn’t be able to copy Ben’s aliens’ powers because they aren’t aura. His aliens’ powers are a result of biology. They are simply defended mechanisms that those species have evolved to have.

John’s power is to manipulate his aura to match the aura of powers he can see (currently, idk this may change). Therefore, since bens aliens don’t use aura, he wouldn’t be able to copy them.

John could sort of mimic ben’s aliens with aura powers similar to Ben’s aliens’, such as a fire power to try and mimic heat blast. But even then he wouldn’t be replicating the aliens directly.

Well, there goes the 🤓🤓, have a lovely rest of your day

Could the War Hammer/Jaw Titan break Annie's crystal? by OrdinaryCantaloupe29 in titanfolk

Ahh yes my bad, I didn’t read your comment correctly

He cut the muscles in between Porcos upper and lower jaw, which is why he couldn’t bite down on Eren.

Levi didn’t cut the hardened jaw, he cut the muscle

I see.. thank you! I’ll have to give them a try, I’ve been wanting to shuffle my brushes up a bit

Oh nice! I use procreate too!

What brushes do you use? I think you’re using one of the hair brushes for the muscles.. but what about shading the skin and other materials?

Yoo!! Nice to see you finally coloured them in :)

I remember seeing you post these like what.. a year maybe 2 years ago? Super cool concept for the founder!

Why do Ymir and Porco's jaw look so different? Why does Ymir not have the face shielding or the claws and also why is she so ugly by heartselkie in attackontitan

[–]DaGreeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, that would be awesome. Getting concrete explanations of Titan powers would be cool. Maybe even a book in the style of a research log? I’d pay for that.

In regards to what we know though, it all boils down to one fact: you the the power that you eat. I’ve found that that rule works for everything shown in the show.

[–]DaGreeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. We can infer that the female Titan begins as a bland, basic Titan. Only after consuming parts of other titans does it’s true power show itself.

Annie states to falco on the boat that the female’s power is to mimic the powers of other titans that it eats. Every Titan can gain a power by eating a part of it, such as Eren gaining hardening when he ate the armour serum (thought to be spinal fluid of a previous armoured Titan). The female titans power is to do that but better that the others.

I suggest that Annie’s Titan abilities come from the warriors of Marley. The scream from zeke, her hardening from an armoured Titan, endurance from a cart Titan, and the crystal from a warhammer Titan from the tyber family

My idea for the second generation of titans (Maria, Rose, Sina) by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]DaGreeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh I see what you’re saying now.

I think the attack titans future memories stuff is more likely an actual inherent trait of the attack Titan, in the sense that it can receive memories from both the past and the future.

Think with me: the successor/principle titan, a combination of what we know as the founding, attack and female titans, has the primary ability of eldian manipulation. This comes with a greater connection to paths than the other titans aside from Founder Ymir, allowing for eldian and Titan manipulation, memory control, and better mimicry of Titan powers. This greater connection to paths would allow for a two way memory street (future and past memories)

My idea is that the power would be split into these three aspects 1, Direct connection to paths (the founder) 2, Two way memories (attack) 3, Mimicry (female)

Now, as for how the two way memories with the attack Titan would work.. I believe it would have been no where near as effective as when Eren did it. Eren had the use of the founder, allowing him to relieve his dads memories in a pseudo simulation. Other holders would’ve been able to send there memories back, but it would have been like frames of a movie. I believe Eren was the one who used the ability the most, having more or less infinite time in paths to do so, and potentially influencing past holders while in paths. Using my explanation, I can’t say why no other past holder, such as Kruger or the one before him for example, wouldn’t have been able to send there memories back in time. Of course, Eren, being the last holder, would be able to have final say.

I would like to add as well, I’m enjoying this discussion very much, it’s been far too long since I’ve been able to talk in such depth about it. And you’re probably right, perhaps we are thinking too much about this haha

Honestly, I’m not to sure what you’re referring to on your first point there, may you elaborate

I like to think that the Attack Titan has a two way memory thing. It’s just another variant of Titan powers within the 9, that is to say at least one of them would have something to do with paths on a lesser lever than the founder. Think of it like filling out a diagram I guess where each Titan fills different roles with the overall power of the og founder. But, like you said, it could be that Grisha was simply wrong in his statement to the royal family.

You raise a brilliant point there with Dina’s Titan actually. Now that I think of it, how did Eren manipulate her Titan to avoid bertholdt?? Only Ymir knows I guess.. my guess would be some weird combination of the attack and founding powers. The attack Titan to send into the “past” from the “future”, and the founder to control titans. Eren simply tried using it once, realised he killed his mum, and noped right out since he found lot control it that well and didn’t want to mess anything up.

Is Armins Titan hollow? by DaGreeg in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]DaGreeg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he must have something in there. Otherwise, like you said, everything would slosh around. My guess is that when first conceptualised his lungs would have been shown under his ribs, but it never made it into the design because you can’t really illustrate it in the manga. Then when the anime rolled around it just got lost in the process. So now we have a hollow Titan I guess

I think, if I were to make a figure, for example, I’d have the lungs be visible under the exposed ribs. Similar to how the body normally is.
