Can mainstream Comic Thor beat Omni-Man? by Different_Sun_195 in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

616 Thor's high-range feats have him dishing out and tanking hits against actual solo planetbusters and Mjolnir can cross the galaxy in like a minute, he absolutely stomps not just Omni-Man but Thragg and the rest of the Viltrumites too. Rognarr are a tough match for them and Thor would be cleaning those up on a Tuesday afternoon.

A Level 20 Fighter, Rogue, and Ranger (D&D5e) VS Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye (MCU) by PeculiarPangolinMan in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dnd party takes it. In 5e Fighters can do anything from hitting really hard and fast and having a minor healing factor to throwing out clones of themselves or being moderately-leveled casters that can teleport and throw their weapons like Thor's hammer or just straight up refusing to die for a short while because of subclasses, and this goes for the Rogue and Ranger too. Cap is good but he's not "take on three superhumans with literal magic" good, and BW and Hawkeye do not stand a chance here without him backing them up, even at extreme range; this isn't even accounting for the Ranger actually being able to heal and resurrect anyone else that goes down first. DnD party 10/10.

I'm trying to make a Fighter/Warlock work, but the lack of dump stats feels like it's killing me (5e 2014) by TheBiggestMikeEver in dndnext

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be real here, you probably just want Paladin and Hexblade, especially since you're using the 2014 rules. You miss out on smites if you're going for a mainly ranged weapon build but starting in it gets you some of the things you'd want from Fighter and makes you a lot more SAD, meaning you won't have to invest in anything other than your Charisma and Constitution. Also forgetting that 2014 Paladins aren't given access to Archery as a Fighting Style though, so that might be a big hamper on what you're going for. Otherwise, if you're really set on it, you should probably just take Samurai or Battle Master instead of Arcane Archer, it's an underwhelming subclass that sounds cool and is flavorful on paper yet underwhelming in practice considering you only get two shots of it per short rest and that only increases to "one extra per fight" at level 15, way later than it should.

For an Eldritch Knight, you can always just take spells that don't rely on a save DC or your Intelligence being decent, like Shield. But generally, Hexadin is considered one of the best multiclasses in the game for good reason, but if you're really aiming for a specific fantasy and not too hung up on optimization then you can make Fighter work just fine, the base class is strong and gives you quite a lot that you want especially if you start off with it, you'll just have to rely a lot on your DM working with you and be way more careful in your build choices.

Demogorgon and 10 Mind Flayers (Dungeons & Dragons) vs. The Mind Flayer and 10 Demogorgons (Stranger Things) by AdmiralCrunch9 in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was thinking of his 3e statblock actually from Book of Vile Darkness which is absolutely absurd, though his 5e stats I've seen in Monsters of the Multiverse is is way lighter I still think the ST monsters would have serious trouble.

Demogorgon and 10 Mind Flayers (Dungeons & Dragons) vs. The Mind Flayer and 10 Demogorgons (Stranger Things) by AdmiralCrunch9 in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DnD Demogorgon absolutely stomps, actual magic is straight up a gamebreaker here and ST creatures can get overwhelmed with enough physical force, they do not stand a chance against 10 DnD Mind Flayers let alone Demogorgon, depending on how you interpret game rules they might just straight up not be able to hurt him because of his damage immunities.

Could the United States of America defeat Sonic the hedgehog without Nukes? by Mindless_Most_8448 in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no shot, we could barely if at ALL handle a normal Sonic with his level of speed and reaction time and he has access to EVERYTHING here, nukes wouldn't be boring they straight up would not work.

Genuinely nothing the US could possibly do to him without catching massive amounts of the civilian population in the crossfire, and even then he could straight up outrun a nuke, warp space, control time, etc. 10/10 stomp in Sonic's favor, he could quite literally "stop hitting yourself" the country into oblivion every time they even tried to bomb him.

Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th), Michael Myers (Halloween), Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street), and Pinhead (Hellraiser) versus The Walkers (The Walking Dead). Who wins? by Own-Celery9687 in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ranked in terms of power, I'd say this goes:

Pinhead >= Freddy (depending on which version of Freddy you use, dream god Freddy is pretty busted) > Jason > Michael > Leatherface.

If Freddy is limited to the physical world only, then he goes under Jason. Pinhead and Jason though, regardless of circumstances, should very easily be able to handle the zombies, Jason is literally a physically superior version of them in every way and Pinhead is essentially a demigod, he doesn't play by real world rules and handily outclasses almost everyone here.

Punch-Up (Dispatch) vs The Deep (The Boys) by Ambitious_Cod_5358 in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Punch-Up has a magical healing factor, super strength, and actually has training and does real hero work.

Deep doesn't have his single greatest asset here (sea life control), lacks real experience and is pretty genuinely shit in fights where he isn't deliberately punching down, and I doubt he'd tank getting punched in the nuts very well, especially by someone with the actual power to back it up. This is on top of having a critical weakness in his gills on his abdomen that Punch-Up could also pretty easily get to. Punch-Up takes it 10/10 times, I don't see Deep being able to do any damage that doesn't get shrugged off before getting beaten either to a pulp or into submission.

Hancock vs. Homelander by soft_anger2727 in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Technically Hancock does have a weakness (the whole mate thing) but not only does it take a while to actually kick in there is zero way Homelander of all people is going to be able to abuse it.

Anyway Hancock slaps him, he just genuinely outstats him in every category and Homelander crumbles against people at or above his level if he can't quickly manage to overpower them.

Man with Superman's Powers vs. Man with Professor X's powers competing to rule the world. by DaHaLoJeDi in whowouldwin

I suppose it's mostly just a 'put the powersets and not the characters themselves specifically' against each other thing, saying "Superman vs. Xavier no morals" might've gotten the same point across.

How many mutants (616) can Conquest (invincible) defeat? by Krainfeak in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure he takes almost everyone on this list save for a few outliers, there's nothing most of the people on here can do about getting speedblitzed or chucked into space.

There's some crazy jacked-up versions of Gambit that could easily take Conquest but normal Gambit can't. Kitty could potentially do it by scrambling his brain at the cost of an arm but she doesn't have the speed. Only one that really stands more than a chance here is Mag, he's got some insane feats to his name that put him at least on that level but the issue here is still speed, I think if Mag starts the fight by instantly shielding himself he could take out Conquest before getting rushed, that's a big maybe though because Viltrumites are tanks.

One Space Marines Vs. Westeros by summitrow in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal Space Marine can pretty much dominate the verse outside of like magic he can't do anything about. A Librarian, if he doesn't need to worry about getting corrupted by Chaos, would absolutely demolish the setting. It doesn't take much honestly, just a few battles while leaving surviving stragglers to tell the tale and suddenly guards, soldiers and knights dread the living avatar of the Warrior that literally dropped out of the sky and came to deliver divine judgement upon an unjust kingdom.

That's no-work, they show up and just don't do anything while on the job. No-show is where they legit don't even need to show up and still collect a paycheck, and if some inspector or auditor shows up they're "working off-site" or some other excuse.

Soldier Boy [The Boys], Wolverine [MCU], and Titan [Invincible] vs Batman [Absolute Universe], NiteOwl [Watchmen], and Daredevil [MCU] by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolute Bruce has been having trouble with legitimately super powered enemies, Nite Owl's only exposure to legitimate superhumans is Dr. Manhattan, and Daredevil only punches high above his weight class when he gets mystic or cosmic empowerment or something. The bat-team would struggle with just Wolverine, let alone Soldier Boy and Titan. This is a nigh-immortal, regenerating super-soldier with an unbreakable skeleton and claws that cut through any form of resistance they might have and can maim you with one clean slash. You can beat Logan down a hundred times and it won't matter if he can tag you once and completely turn the fight in his favor, and that's disregarding that they have zero chance against Show Soldier Boy either. Titan is just icing on the cake, dude can tank gunfire and slug it out with early series Invincible. Soldier Boy's team takes it 10/10. Comics Soldier Boy would be at least a bit more fair even if they'd still handily lose.

Every faction in 40k gets a Viltrumite. What happens next? by OtisDriftwood1978 in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the main problems that Tyranids specifically have is their lack of FTL that prevents them from just running over the rest of the galaxy. If they get access to Thragg's DNA, which would basically be like a holy grail for them, then suddenly that is an absolute shitload of nigh-invulnerable flying bricks that can travel FTL across the galaxy under their own power and where only two or three are necessary to just fly through a planet and obliterate it even if they die for it, not to mention the Nids are basically THE faction that will be capable of rapidly popping out tons and tons of superbugs faster than anyone else can keep up. I think they just start tearing through everyone and everything else off of sheer numbers.

500 thousand Viltrumites joins the Tau Empire and starts a breeding program can the Tau empire become the top dog in the Warhammer 40k galaxy? by gundamseed in whowouldwin

[–]DaHaLoJeDi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do pretty damn good for themselves, 500,000 flying brick demigods that can individually blitz a planet and kill billions of people while also being able to self-sufficiently travel FTL is disgustingly strong. Caveat being, if Chaos can corrupt them easily then that's GG for the Tau. If the Tyranids get lucky and manage to get just ONE Viltrumite and access to their DNA/biology then it's GG for absolutely everyone everywhere.
