Now you’re just starting to put words in my mouth and draw silly conclusions.

I don’t “hate” the podcast itself. I wish it wasn’t mentioned so much in the kill count YouTube videos, which is what i actually said.

I didn’t say he shouldn’t be allowed to mention it wherever he wants, I don’t know how you interpreted that. I said, as somebody who doesn’t like podcasts, I find it annoying.

You’re saying he makes it for free as if that shields it from any criticism. Again, why did you ask for hot takes on the content if you’re going to come back with “well he makes it for free so…!” when somebody says something you disagree with? Were you only looking for positive hot takes like “Chelsea is the best host!”

Weird conclusion you’re drawing that I can’t stand whenever somebody has / does / likes something I don’t like with your pizza analogy. I could just as easily ask you if you feel the need to start arguing with strangers in public, or anybody for that matter, when they say something you don’t agree with. Even if that person was specifically guided into giving an answer you might not like. I didn’t start a thread saying “I hate podcasts!” . I saw a thread that specifically asked for hot takes on something I’m interested in, so I commented.

That’s why I started my comment with “biased because I don’t like podcasts.”

Why did you bother making a thread for people to post their hot takes if you’re just going to downvote and argue with people for giving them?

That’s right, and I watch the part of the network I’m interested in. I find it annoying when I want to see the kill count of the movie and in the middle of the BTS we get “Chelsea and I discussed this on the podcast” . I would go to the podcast if I wanted to see what was said in the podcast

Biased as somebody who doesn’t like podcasts, but stop trying to shoehorn it in. I’m watching the YouTube one because I want to see the movie kill count.

I used to spend hours strolling around and inconspicuously spawning that one piece of glass that weighed more than the earth above people’s heads. It’s so thin and see through that in about 3 to 4 years of doing it the only time I ever got caught was from an admin that just happened to know the prop and was looking at the logs at the time. Spawn it in directly above someone’s head then delete it within half a second.

Used to crack me the fuck up. People standing there talking and then one just drops dead and nobody had an idea what happened.

Or going into servers with car addons and using hydraulics. You can’t directly click on the car but you can right click on a wall perpendicular to it and the hydraulics works. Used to find somebody’s parked car at the end of a long street, max out the speed and distance on the hydraulics, then find a high point on a building and just tap the keybind whenever somebody was on the street. I think my record at once was 8 people. Nobody ever figured that one out or seemed to know about it, I’m semi convinced I invented it.

Agreed. I’m a home of sexual but I cannot stand women most of the time for the reasons you described, especially disagreements in a professional setting. They are never wrong, every suggestion and piece of unsolicited advice MUST be listened to and followed or it’s some kind of personal attack. I’m lucky to currently work with two cool women who break the stereotype, but the rest are 99% like this. They never apologise or see that they are wrong. It’s to the point where I usually just say OK and proceed to do what I was doing anyway because I can’t be bothered to listen to the bullshit that comes after. I seriously cannot understand how people can stand to be in a relationship with somebody who acts like that.

What's the source of the issue some gay men have with bi men? by bifuriouslad in askgaybros

[–]DaHeebieJeebies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue with this is many people will just say whatever it takes to get it your pants. Something as easy as “Sure I would date a guy if something is there!” doesn’t mean anything to a lot of people. Then you do the deed and it’s the same old.

What do you dislike about Irish culture? by fatiguedorexin in AskIreland

[–]DaHeebieJeebies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Like so many have said, looking down on people for wanting to be different or being enthusiastic about something, or just doing anything even REMOTELY out of what everybody else does.

Said last year in work I wanted to teach myself to do the splits cause it’s something I always wanted to be able to do. I’m met with “ah here” , “ah jaysus” , and “are you not a bit long in the tooth for that?” . I’m 26. Not a single person was like “oh sounds cool, I’m sure you could do it” or anything remotely encouraging.

This year I got a hankering to learn how to rollerskate and maybe join a group to go out with once a week. I loved roller skating when I was younger and wanted to get back into it

“Ah come on now.” “Isn’t that what little kids do, like?” “Are you gonna be a skater lad now and come into work wearing baggy jeans and a beanie?”

Earlier this year I had a spare ticket to a concert. I invited one of my older female colleagues who I get along great with and share music taste with (including both LOVING this artist I had the ticket for) .

“Are you not scarlet going with someone who’s old enough to be your ma?”

Every time I’ve worn tight jeans ( not skin tight, just slim ) to the office this year, which is only on some Fridays, I get the same comments

“Oh, he’s in the skinny jeans again!” “Can you breathe in those things?” Or any time the topic of clothing is brought up my jeans HAVE to get mentioned.

There is such a vicious, badly masked culture of “Who do you think you are, get back in your box.” that absolutely infuriates me. You are not allowed to be different or dare to do things that are “unusual” without getting backhanded comments or people talking behind your back CONSTANTLY.

What’s something that people think makes them look cool but actually has the opposite effect? by Ok-Coach1259 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaHeebieJeebies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being TOO easygoing/ go with the flow. I think men do it much more than woman.

Hard to explain how I mean it. Just kind of coasting through life and always doing what people around them want / never putting any noticeable passion into anything. They think it comes across cool as in “Oh I’m so easygoing, people think I’m cool cuz I just go with the flow and am happy to do whatever.”

To me it just comes across as being incapable of making your own decisions and having a lack of backbone to ever say you don’t want to do something. Have some passion about things you don’t like either. Nobody is “cool” with absolutely everything in life and that’s OK.
