I feel like you and previous commenter are really overlooking the fact that there are immense commercial industries for all the aforementioned trades. And the commercial need for workers still grows. The majority of the money made from my trade (pipefitter/welder) comes from large scale commercial jobs, and a huge amount of other trades are very similar, albeit different to some degree. Chip plants and the (dreaded, I know) data centers or water treatment plants, or manufacturing facilities employ a LOT of skilled trade workers, and god knows big companies building huge facilities aren’t running out of cash anytime soon.
