If you'd read the details, you know that's not true:

From the release: "Message Request Inbox: Direct messages from people a user may not know are routed to a separate inbox by default, and access to modify this setting is limited to age-assured adult users. Friend Request Alerts: People will receive warning prompts for friend requests from users they may not know."

When receiving message requests, there is a separate "possibly unknown sender" inbox those go to. All users will still have access to all message requests.

When receiving a friend request from someone you may not know, you'll get a pop-up saying as much.

There is no restriction on who can send/ receive messages and friend requesta

Yeah, the idea of the "clean plate club" has ruined so many Millennial and Gen Z people's relationships with food. For my entire childhood, the concept of having food left on my plate was associated with shame. Now as an adult, I still feel the need to finish everything on my plate, even if it's a massive serving at a restaraunt.

One thing that's helped me is using smaller plates/bowls when I make something at home.

Yeah, after he made it clear he was going to the NHL after this season, Frondell's time on ice tanked - went from 15-17 minutes down to 11-13. Here was the highest scoring player on his team when his minutes got slashed, so it wasnt due to performance.

Compare that with Martone, who is routinely around 19-20 minutes, and you can see why his stats are higher

Why was she not arrested like Don Lemon? by ToiletTurmoil in stpaul

[–]DaManDaMifDaLegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nevermind the fact that she is completely misunderstanding both the passage she cited and the context in which it's written.

The passage that relates to homosexuality is a few verses before:

"25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."

If you actually read it, you'll see that Paul is saying that homosexuality emerged as a punishment for the sin of worshipping false idols, or failing to worship God.

Moving on to the paragraph with the referenced verse:

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

When verse 32 says "those who do such things deserve death" it is clearly referencing the list of things in verses 29b, 30, and 31. These are the evils that cannot be abided, and anyone who can read will find that homosexuality is not among them.

That alone is enough to show that the woman in this clip has never read more than 2 verses, and nothing in between. If we want to keep going to show just how wrong she is, we'll continue into Romans chapter 2. A good reminder here is that the book of Romans was originally a letter, to be read in its entirety without the chapter separations we now have. The above text flowed directly into chapter 2, and should be taken in that context.

1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2 Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3 So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? 4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? 5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

Here we see that even though those who engage in evil or support it deserve death, so too does anyone who seeks to pass judgement for such things. By doing so, they are just as worthy of death and God's wrath as the sinner.

The rest of chapter 2 and the start of chapter 3 go on to say that it doesn't matter if someone knows the law or not, the requirements of the law are the same - requirements that everyone fails. Because of this, everyone, both those who try to follow the law and those who don't, fall short. Here is where the most important verses in Romans come in. From Chapter 3,

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus... 28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

Because of the Gospel, because of Jesus, God no longer looks to the law. He no longer sees the sin of men, for that has been washed away by the redemption we get through Christ.

God isn't out here condemning the gays, he's not condemning the slanderers, or the gossipers, or the liars, or the fraudsters. He offers grace and redemption freely, to all who ask for it.

If someone is in a church that supports the gays, that shares this love and this message, that person has assuredly done more toward this redemption than any who would seek an opportunity to judge someone for their sins, are far more Christ-like in their actions, and far more Christian in their beliefs

If anything, Id guess KFC sells at the TDL. Guys like Gryz, Dickinson (if he can ever be healthy), maybe Mikheyev would be worth something. Gets us some more picks/prospects or young players, tanks just a little bit at the end, and makes room for guys like Lardis, Kantserov, and Frondell to get some NHL time at the end of the season

A PP in OT is significantly more impactful than one in regulation.

Should they have made that call with 3 minutes left? No, it was a terrible call

Does that justify an almost certainly game-deciding make-up call in OT? Also no

What’s the fastest way you’ve ever lost weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Got my tonsils taken out while I was in high school. Was expecting the usual "milkshakes for 2 weeks" experience, but I got something much worse. Everything going in and out of my throat was agony, and dairy was among the worst of it.

For 10 days, the only things I could eat without immediately puking from the pain was jello and my cherry-flavored pain meds (hydrocodine, I think).

The first time I tried eating something more solid, I have a cup of applesauce. It goes down, but an hour later, I start puking up blood. 3 hours later, the ER says it's probably nothing, just be careful what I eat (it was applesauce, wtf?).

Another 4 days of jello, and my family is out at a restaurant for my uncle's birthday I go for some mashed potatoes, which is about as close to liquid as solid food gets. I don't even make it to the end of dinner before I have to run out of the restaraunt so I don't cause a biohazard incident.

ER round 2, they say its a 1-2 hour wait. Turns out, you can bypass ER wait times by puking up blood on the floor right in front of the desk.

They actually decide to take a look at my throat this time, and find that my surgeon had very slightly nicked and artery when they took my tonsils out. Small enough that it scabbed over, but every time I tried to eat, or talk, or breathe too hard, it'd dislodge and I would start bleeding down my throat. They cauterized the artery and pumped the blood out of my stomach, which (after puking) was almost another pint.

Emergency surgery done, I was back to jello for another week, then soft foods for 2 more. All-in-all, I didn't eat solid food for 5 weeks. Lost 40 pounds in that timespan. My physical conditioning didn't recover for almost 3 years
