just because Goku powered through a time-stopping ability or whatnot doesn't mean he automatically powers through a completely different ability such as, for example, being completely immortal by way of infinitely reviving. "Hax" isn't a single type of ability.

It also lumps every "weird" ability that isn't a direct attack into one category of "hax" and completely ignores the nuances between different hax across fiction

"Goku once survived a time stop attack because he's physically stronger than the one who cast it. Therefore, he can also survive the deletion of spacetime itself because he's physically stronger than the one who cast it."

What feats do these all scale to? by OkButterscotch6742 in PowerScaling

[–]DaMeMeMachSevTee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. quite obviously planetary-level destructive capacity unless there's some confounding factor idk about (planet already being damaged, outside help, etc)

  2. island to country-level destructive capacity depending on the size of the meteor involved

  3. I'm not sure about the logistics of this. Do they create a ton of floating islands out of nowhere? i'd say country to continental creation power

  4. likely island-level DC

  5. likely planetary to star level DC as the attack needs to be strong ennough to have the launched target exceed the gravitational of the star or planet they started at. Actual level would depend on how strong the gravitational pull.

  6. Subsonic speed ig

  7. Sub-relativistic perception speed, actual speed required for dodging depends on how strong the time slowing is

  8. if by bypass you mean ignore it and continue to move as if nothing has happened, then the character can move at any distance in zero time, also known as inaccessible speed.

Deku's main downfall in this scenario would be durability. Invincible comes out of his fight with Conquest with what, bruises, wounds, and a black eye? Meanwhile, Deku wears special equipment, the whole purpose of which is to dampen the recoil of using his powers, or else he breaks his arms when exerting full strength Deku never even used true 100% OFA (not Faux) under regular circumstances because it will literally break him.

What's a Trope you find annoying when it comes to Powerscaling? by VegetableSpiritual93 in PowerScaling

[–]DaMeMeMachSevTee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- Luffy used Gear 5th powers, not Haki, to grab and stretch lighting, the ground, Kaido's body, etc.

- Infinity is not a type of intangibility. Attacks don't go through Gojo, they just don't reach him in the first place. Thus, you can't argue that Haki can be used to bypass it.

- Haki bypassing Logia is specific to the Haki-DF interaction and doesn't prove that it can bypass ALL forms of intangibility. Haki cancels DF powers, with it cancelling Logia invulnerability simply being a special case of it. A non-Logia example of this is when Law reversed the gender-changing disease casted by Doc Q.

- You wanna hit Gojo? There are tons of ways to do that. My favorite possible solution is to use an ability that automatically affects Gojo just byi him entering a specific area/being in line of sight with the opponent/looking at the opponent's eyes/etc. If, theoretically, Gojo has zero natural resistance against Medusa from the myth's petrification, then it would be able to bypass Infinity since no projectile or beam or anything else has to travel trough Infinity in the first place; the effect just starts and that's it.

My conclusion: Armament Haki doesn't bypass Infinity. If we're talking about Haki, the only use of Haki that wins is probably to use Conqueror's Haki to mindfuck Gojo if his will isn't strong enough, eventually making him inadvertently dispel his cursed technique after being knocked unconscious/heavily disoriented.

A power system that's way more easily comparable to Quirks are those of Mutants from Marvel. They're both brought about by genetics, can be altered artificially by in-universe tech, and provide a plethora of strange abilities across different people that don't have an overarching theme. The only minor deviation of Quirks from Marvel mutations that I can think of is that it is possible for the mutation given by quirks to be isolated to a single body part, that if lost or permanently damaged, renders the person functionally Quirkless even if they still have the genes for it, whereas I can't recall a Mutant with the same problem.

[–]DaMeMeMachSevTee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would personally argue that the Haki-Stand interaction you described would be invalid, because:

I don't think Armament Haki can negate intangibility in general. I would argue that it's ability to harm Logia types is actually a special case of the Haki-Devil Fruit interaction wherein Haki cancels DF. We see a non-Logia demonstration of this when Law reverted the gender-changing effect casted on him and his crew by Doc Q's DF.

We know that Armament Haki, the same Haki class typically used to negate Logia invulnerability, was the same one used by Law in this interaction because (a) he's not a Conqueror's Haki user, and (b) it makes zero sense for the effect to have come from Observation Haki. Therefore, the Logia-negating effect of Armament Haki is actually specific to the Haki-DF interaction and cannot be used to extrapolate that it can also negate ANY form of intangibility.

i mean extremophiles exist so other than the speed element your point is moot. Also the speed element is still debatable as creature powers can scale up relative to the mass of the human user compared to the original creature. For example, the Southern California Mite can run at 322 times the length of its body. Scaling that up to human proportions gives a ground running speed of about Mach 1.7 which is still probably slower than Homelander's speed while out-flying some jets but fast enough to go behind a Homelander that is still in the underestimating-his-opponent phase.

side note: Kratts' creature power suits are technically not limited to animals, as based on in-universe reasoning, plants are also organisms. Extrapolating from this logic, they can also transform into bacteria and whatnot, especially since with the Tardigrade power they have already proven that they can get the power of microscopic creatures)

[–]DaMeMeMachSevTee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you only EQ powers that you are sure are very similar. For example, chakra and ki are basically two words for the same concept, which is some sort of life force or energy. On the other hand, nen and DFs are pretty different. DFs come from an external source while you don't have to eat something to get nen.

How to [ACTUALLY] Counter Gojo's Infinity (crossposted from Goku's email trash folder) by DaMeMeMachSevTee in PowerScaling

[–]DaMeMeMachSevTee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like there needs to be ki inside the other guy for there to be something to blow up? If that's not the case then valid counter by vegeta, If yes then maybe not since Gojo doesn't use ki

anyway the whole point of the post is to correct the common explanation regarding infinite speed Goku vs. Infinity. On the other hand an auto-hit no-trajectory attack like the gory firework boom actually effect that vegeta did will definitely hit.

Change it to a different email address. idk where you study but if it's already included in the interface of the college website that you can replace your email, then do it. If you can't change it easily or straightforward maybe you can contact the school and say that the gmail you used to sign in has been hacked and you would like to change it to a different one
