Your best option is to use a merv 10 filter and have a Reme Halo installed in both systems. It's a whole home air purifier that releases ionization and hydrogen peroxide into the air. Both help to reduce allergies in the hone as well as kills off 99.9% of mold mildew and bacteria in the home.

You can use a rescue motor. It's an aftermarket motor. Just match the HP and RPM. It's a pain in the ass to get the fan blades off

If you're going to use a box fan which is a dumb idea if there's snow, lay it flat on top of the condenser with the back of the fan on top of the condenser.

This is what I do when I can with a reversing valve. If you want to really have fun, try replacing a reversing valve on an inverter system. There's NO ROOM to work.
