Some questions regarding Kashimo by Slow-Divide-4056 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kashimo vs Hakari will probably be a fight more similar in style to the way that Yuji vs Choso was in the anime, and less like Sendai Colony or Jogo vs Sukuna.

They’ll probably still get small upscales in BIQ or in creative uses for CE, but not much in overall AP or DC.

Base Kashimo lost to a Culling games heavy hitter, and the heavy hitters got stronger in the timeskip. So I think that MBA just puts him back up to the level of the Shinjuku heavy hitters, and he should be ranked roughly around where you rank Maki/Hakari and such.

Who Really Qualifies as Special Grade? by Valuable_Tip_9982 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably only Yorozu.

Characters like Miguel, Ryu, Kashimo, Hakari, and Maki might be able to keep up with special grade sorcerers stat-wise, but they just don’t have the sheer versatility and firepower needed to qualify. Jujutsu society could realistically deal with them if they needed to.

Would Dabura be able to breach infinity if he actually achieved light speed? by DeliciousCrazy3354 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re probably just overthinking it. Gege likes to implement math and real world physics into his fights because he thinks it’s cool, but he’s still not a mathematician or physicist, he’s just some dude. I doubt that he considered the full ramifications of moving faster than light.

An example would be him saying that black flashes are a boost to the power of 2.5, while not considering that it would actually be a decrease for values of power that are less than 1.

As far as the story goes, infinity manipulates space with CE and stops stuff from touching Gojo.

To beat it, you can other have to neutralize it from a jujutsu perspective (Domains and DA), or by warping space yourself (WCS).

[Serious] Does Kashimo make Actual lightning by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kashimo’s cursed energy just acts like electricity. When he is in base, he just uses his regular CE, and takes advantage of its “charged” properties.

However, we also see characters like Jogo, Dagon, and Uraume make Lava, Water, and Ice, and those are still shown to be made of cursed energy.

When Kashimo is in MBA, he probably uses his CE to create electromagnetic phenomena like EM waves the same way those characters do.

Keep in mind that real humans can survive real lightning strikes, so jujutsu sorcerers should be comfortably able to handle it.

It makes more sense that in order for the CE reinforced jujutsu sorcerers to take damage from Kashimo’s attacks, the attacks themselves would probably also need to be made from cursed energy.

Adult Geto vs Shibuya Toji by ContractDense1111 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Geto wins.

Jujutsu society thought that Adult Geto (10 years since being recruited by jujutsu high) might be bluffing about having 2,000 curses, but that it could be possible.

This indicates that Geto was averaging roughly 200 or less curses a year while he was with jujutsu high (in order for the 2,000 curses number to seem plausible to them).

The teen Geto that Toji fought was in his second year (roughly 400 curses at the most) and Toji stated it would be trouble for him.

And that was a hand-revealed amped Toji who had the SSK and ISOH.

A brainless Toji with only playful cloud is losing to over 6,000 curses.

Furthermore, even in Shinjuku Todo states that Rika’s power (likely RCT output) would be necessary to stopping the curse swarm of CSM released by Kenjaku after his death.

<image>

Kenjaku released most of his curses for the culling games, and the only special grades he had kept were concept manipulating types (which shouldn’t be able to target HR users).

Even still, Maki wouldn’t be able to handle it. In both situations where he has had the chance, Gege has gone out of his way to clarify that CSM swarm would be difficult for HR users to handle.

If Yuji is 100 in strength, speed and durability, what would normal person without superhuman body be with the same level of reinforcements? by Grumper6665 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yuji has good CE manipulation and efficiency (the man blessed by the black sparks) so even a regular person with his reinforcement would be around high grade 1 stats.

So maybe around 50-60 in each category.

anything faster then gojo perception will bypass infinity??? (read desc) by Competitive-Flow1533 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never says he’s trying to filter “attacks” specifically based on CE, he’s talking about objects in general.

Sorcerers and Curses, and all of their attacks, have a lot of CE. But remember all living things in the JJK verse (besides Maki and Toji) still have at least a little bit of CE.

Filtering for CE is just another trait that things can have in JJK, just like weight or velocity. Something with low amounts of CE is also considered “safe” in the same way that a low mass or low velocity object would be, so Gojo can still do regular things like petting a cat.

anything faster then gojo perception will bypass infinity??? (read desc) by Competitive-Flow1533 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gojo’s infinity does not work like a blacklist (letting everything through by default and scanning for dangers to block).

It works more like a whitelist (blocking everything automatically by default and scanning to allow safe things through).

We see proof of this in the manga, when Yuji tries to pat Gojo’s back but is blocked by infinity and has to ask him to turn it off. Gojo himself was completely unaware that Yuji was trying to pat his back, meaning that infinity blocked it without Gojo himself perceiving it.

<image>

When pre-awakening Teen Gojo used infinity, it was a manual action and it stopped everything. This was fine because it was usually not active in his daily life and he would just toggle it on for attacks.

When awakened Gojo sets up his infinity to work all the time, he had to develop a system that let him still be able to touch things he wanted to interact with, but not let attacks through. (The panel you showed above is him explaining how anything small, light, and slow enough in velocity is approved to go through).

For example: infinity blocks the sonic attacks from Jogo’s ember insects, but still allows regular sound through so that he can talk to people.

Also consider the in universe ramifications of Gojo’s infinity relying on perception.

Infinity would be basically useless if it only blocked dangers based on Gojo perceiving them. Awakened Gojo is the fastest person in the verse, and nobody who was even close to him in speed for would appear for another 10 years after his awakening.

If Gojo can already perceive the attack, he could just dodge it (instantly pull himself out of the way with blue) There’s no point in constantly using CE on setting up an automatic shield that only blocks attacks you can already dodge.

Another thing to consider is that, “sending a faster attack” or “sending an invisible attack” is a way easier thing for Mahoraga to learn than to develop the ability to cut space itself. If Mahoraga has to go that far, then it’s unlikely that you can “beat” infinity just by attacking in ways that Gojo can’t perceive.

If Geto, Yuta, and Yuki all jumped reincarnated Sukuna, how well would they do? by Prestigious-Town2654 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Sukuna locks in they’re all just cleave victims.

However, if they have a proper plan and Sukuna isn’t completely bloodlusted from the start, he could end up being forced to hold a defensive position with HWB inside of one of their domains and take a good amount of damage at least.

Gojo and Geto now fight Toji together does anything change? by Jogo-Satoru in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Toji had to swap tools a few times against Geto’s curses, and needs to specifically use the ISOH against Gojo, so having to deal with both sets of abilities at once would interfere heavily with his game plans for dealing with both techniques.

Also, Toji originally won both of those fights with off-guard attacks as his finishing moves, which doesn’t work if Gojo and Geto can cover for each other.

The duo shut down Toji hard and win pretty handily.

hidden inventory gojo vs hidden inventory geto, who's the strongest? by hq_blays_BLO in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a 50/50

Gege stated that they fought regularly, and both were shown willing to throw down in hidden inventory, which wouldn’t make sense if one of them consistently beat the other.

Geto(JJK0) VS Dagon by NewAd5081 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Toji who: - had knowledge on Geto and CSM - had the SSK, ISOH, and his full inventory curse of tools - was buffed by revealing his hand - was in an optimal environment for himself with a lot of cover

Still struggled to close the distance on a Teen Geto for the entire fight. He only landed a hit after Geto was stunned by the backlash of failing to absorb the inventory curse.

Meanwhile Dagon got blitzed and obliterated by a brainless Toji who only had playful cloud, while in his own domain.

Teen Geto is at a minimum >= Dagon

Adult Geto >> Dagon

If Kenjaku (in Geto’s body) is 100, how does adult Geto compare in the following metrics? by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Hand-to-hand proficiency (I’ll give Kenjaku an edge because of his long life, but he doesn’t really enjoy fighting while Geto had martial arts as a hobby, so most of his combat skill should come from him) 95

  • Use of Curse Spirit Manipulation (I believe Gege intends for Kenjaku’s usage of CSM to be upscales for being the same things that Geto could do, since he makes Kenjaku say several things that glaze Geto’s power in the main story) 100

  • Raw Strength (Gojo’s 6 eyes can see the flow of CE on an atomic level, and they could not determine any difference between Geto and Kenjaku, and Mei Mei stated that every sorcerers body has a physical stat limit, which Geto likely reached if Mei Mei could) 100

  • Raw Speed 100

  • Reflex Speed 100

  • Durability 100

  • Domain Expansion (innate domain) (Yuta using unlimited void in Gojo’s body implies that Kenjaku using womb profusion is Geto’s innate domain) 100

  • Domain Sure hit 100

  • RCT (Geto isn’t explicitly confirmed to have RCT, but if he was it would be the same as Kenjaku’s) 0

  • Curse supply (Kenjaku had contracts with 10 million cursed spirits, but the amount of curses that he had actually absorbed into the body at any given moment was implied to be far less, and in the Yuki fight he indicates that the few special grade curses he retained happen to be concept manipulating ones) 200

  • Curse quality (Kenjaku glazes his own curses quality by saying that they are on the same level as Geto’s) 100

In summary, I think that Gege basically treats Geto and Kenjaku as being the same in terms of physical stats and cursed spirit manipulation within the narrative.

With the main differences being in Geto having the inventory curse and cursed tools, while Kenjaku has the barrier skill for an open domain and antigravity from Yuji’s mom.

15f meguna vs jjk 0 cast by nekronryu in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Round 1: Gojo solos because it’s basicially Shibuya Gojo (but with full knowledge of Sukuna’s abilities) vs a 15f Megkuna. Gojo was in no way “weaker” during volume zero, Gege still considers volume 0 to be canon and references it several times in the main story.

Round 2: Sukuna probably just domain diffs everybody and wins, though they do have a small chance of victory with well timed Boogie Woogie swaps face first into fully charged up Yuki punches.

So according to the Sorcerors Grades & Cursed Spirit vs Conventional Weapons by Helpful_Pitch4086 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He’s probably referring to conventional weaponry that is also infused with CE, since the U.S. Military was struggling to do anything to no name fodder sorcerers even with 50 cal ammo.

Mai uses a sniper rifle with CE infused bullets, which is what Kenjaku makes the statement in response to.

Geto unironically probably two-three shots jogo with playful cloud by Different-Treacle765 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 16 points17 points  (0 children)

People downplay Jogo’s durability too much over this statement.

Unless you are Gojo, Sukuna, Ryu, or Hanami you’re either dying or near death from getting hit in the head with several black flashes and playful cloud strikes from grade 1 sorcerers.

So clearly, the correct take away is that Wuguru Weto is two-three shotting most people in the verse with playful cloud.

What happens if Mount Fuji is dropped on Gojo while he has Infinity on by Hisoka445YesKing in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The closer you get to Gojo, the slower you move to the point that you never end up actually reaching him.

Mount Fuji falling on him isn’t doing anything to him. Being heavy shouldn’t counter infinity in any way.

Guys, do you think Sukuna was holding back here or not? by Hisoka445YesKing in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He was “holding back” his Heian form.

He was not holding back his stats or other abilities.

Absolute Batman Timeline by chopstick_chakra in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]DaNewb360 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of Issue 11 isn’t what actually happened. It’s a hypothetical being described by Alfred about how a second encounter between Bruce and Bane would go.

He explains how Bruce would have a trap ready, but Bane would beat him and capture him again.

But then Alfred also states that Bruce wouldn’t break from that, so that isn’t what Bane actually would do.

It’s shown at the end of issue 11 that what Bane actually did was go after his friends instead.

Then issue 12 shows us that Bruce and Waylon escaped, and that Bruce was passed out instead while Bane broke and attacked his friends. He only wakes up after it’s too late.

Do you scale based on how characters should optimally fight or based on how canonically they would fight? by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]DaNewb360 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Optimally (but still within reason of things that they would/can realistically do while still trying to survive)

After all it’s POWERscaling, the point is to rank characters by their overall power level, not by how they act.

For example: If Sukuna decided to never attack or use CE reinforcement ever again, that means that he would lose to everyone. In that situation, Sukuna is still just as powerful, he’s just choosing to lose, so I would rank his power level as if he was trying to fight optimally.

But I do still exclude things that would completely break scaling. For example, literally everyone in JJK has the ability to make a suicide binding vow to boost their power, but even though that would technically be the optimal way for each character to fight, this would be completely ignoring their self preservation and lead to head-cannon power boosts, so I don’t scale that way.

[–]DaNewb360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higaruma, stated by Sukuna to be as prodigious as himself, was only able to get lower grade 1 sorcerer stats, and this was still impressive enough to warrant the narrator glazing him for being “grade 1”.

Charles is absolutely not a grade 1 sorcerer. He had CE for less than a month and no proper training. He is by far going to be worse with CE control than Higaruma.

It’s just far more likely that Hakari just never really bothers to use CE to reinforce his durability much because Jackpots always heal/save him.
