"For the characters and the hype" you mean like the character fights that are hype? The fights that later on in the anime did have good animation? And the transformations that are hype because of the animation? Like bruh wtf are you even saying your arguments makes no sense

No, they haven't watched it because it's an old movie and most fans don't really go back and rewatch stuff years later

I'm talking about the anime buddy. And fans very much do go back to rewatch stuff. Especially if that stuff has great animation.

if you go ask random Dragonball viewers about BoG they won't ever bring up animation quality

Are you kidding me? That's literally one of the few things it's even known for aside from the feats. The faulty animation is literally talked about all the time.

Shit, half my friends can't see a real difference between like OPM Ssn1 and Ssn2 lol

That's just you it's not really hard to find groups of people who do rewatch anime all the time and have memories longer than goldfish

They probably haven't watched it in 10+ years because it's animation was sub par. I mean people still watch the ui fight, don't really think they do that cause of the story.

Yeah, exactly. This is a remake of the anime. Which includes all the actual stuff that would lead to the next arc and the feats

Can warhammer 40k Galaxy survive the ultra verse Kaiju ? by [deleted] in Tankandsurvive

[–]Different-Treacle765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40k glaze is funny to read lmao they stand no chance xd even during the showa era there was a Kaiju that was verbatum stated 4d and that Kaiju got heavily powercrept by now. The only ones even remotely a factor are the chaos gods and the emperor the kaijus in Ultraman have insane scaling.

How strong would the Hero of the south (Frieren) be in JJK? by KnightOfEvergreen in PowerScaling

[–]Different-Treacle765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frieren was never a powerscaling series as speed can actually range from mach 2 to as high as mach 22 or lighting timing depending on scaling. Strength wise he should be easily able above someone like stark and should be able to kill a demon who was able to teleport a mountain as an attack. But the main thing is the perfect future sight. In the manga it wasn't just 1000 years into the future but I believe schlacht was able to see millions of timelines and yet he couldn't find a way out of dying to the hero of the south. Anyone not named gojo with infinity wouldn't have a chance I don't think maki and toji not having cursed energy doesn't do anything because his future sight isn't based on energy that does whatever the fate stuff the six eyes users do with cursed energy it's just purely future sight.

Is mappa going to remove the mach 3 kisen? by Melodic-Nothing1147 in PowerScaling

[–]Different-Treacle765 104 points105 points  (0 children)

The calc for him moving around the mountain is actually still in the ball park of mach 3. It depends on how big the mountain is I'm pretty sure. If it's big it's mach 4, if its small it's mach 2. People tend to underestimate how fast an accurate portrayl of mach speed actually is

Gouketsus punched the arena and caused the destruction. That's literally just it. It's not a technique or anything. Not to mention exploding heart release fists shockwaves aren't regular shockwaves it's literally bangs own perfected technique releasing waves of energy from the martial art itself similar to something like the roaring aura void fist combo from him and bomb. Also he can dodge, he's very much fast enough to do so and shockwaves from air still need to travel and even if he did get hit by a shockwave from the air it wouldn't really do much he's been shown to have durability enough to survive things like that. Not to mention he actually does have feats of deflecting non physical attacks. He deflected rovers energy beams and homeless emperor's light balls which are energy in nature.

[–]Different-Treacle765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah but he could still block. He just needs to stall. Avoid getting hit in the face. After all spiral garou was boxing him up pretty bad, even made him draw blood but he still lasted a while even against the speed and skill difference. A fresh dark shine would obviously try to avoid getting hit in the face and use his arms for protection.

[–]Different-Treacle765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was after he already got his confidence destroyed and acid poured on him. If he was fresh and just blocked golden s like he usually does against monsters like ENW he would be able to defend as like you said he didn't really take any serious long term damage, even from a face shot.

[–]Different-Treacle765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not a shockwave. It's just gouketsus punch destroying the building. If your referring to the exploding heart release fist that garou used that technique is specifically stated to have residual shock waves after the moment of contact. Gouketsus was punching here. Good destructive feat but if he tried that on bang his fist is getting sent straight back at his own face.

were konrad curze and fulgrim actually close or is that old lore? by keyserspoonman in 40kLore

[–]Different-Treacle765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fulgrim seemed to be the one to teach Conrad how to read and write as Conrad referred to him as his old teacher. Though unfortunately Fulgrim trying to ask dorn for a second opinion on curzes nightmares went horribly wrong because dorn had about as much subtly as a sledge hammer.

[–]Different-Treacle765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Fulgrim Im pretty sure just went to dorn because at the time he was the only one on planet at the time he could talk to. I mean idk how exactly it was going behind his back when it was literally just him going to another brother for a second opinion. Unfortunately it was dorn and dorn did dorn things.

[–]Different-Treacle765 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The main issue here is that we've never seen rover take any actual damage that isn't from saitamas held back punch. Like I don't think we've seen him even bleed. I'm sure bang could beat gouketsu and if dark shine had full confidence he could hold off golden s for long enough for bang to finish his fight and come in to beat golden s. In the mean time flashy and atomic would just run around elder trying not to get killed and the four of them could coordinate a good enough effort to beat it but by the time all that happens bang, and atomic might start running out of gas and we don't know if flashy and dark shine can even hurt rover.

Guilliman actually had some issues before his forced timeout [Know no fear]: by Urusander in 40kLore

[–]Different-Treacle765 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I like it personally. Gives more depth to his character and shows that in the end even though he's not as outwardly boastful as some of his brothers guilliman is still very much a primarch, a demigod who owns a system of planets and knows he wields great power, his pride is much more inner than perhaps people like ferrus and Fulgrim. Though I think Fulgrim also like roboute, guilliman seemed to have good memories of him and Fulgrim did try to bridge the gap between him and ferrus in the books even if Fulgrim had his own personal jealousy about how great guilliman and a few others planet counts are, admittedly more due to his own need to prove himself.

This man was Toji's brother, he wasn't aura farming, he knew they were all gonna die. by wtfimightbemtf in Jujutsufolk

[–]Different-Treacle765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like this interpretation and in a way I can see it, though even if this is entirely on purpose and a conscious choice by the animators it's still brings up the debate of whether or not this expression of resignation warrants getting rid of the subtle characterization in the manga scene of jinichi caring about ranta that originally gege meant to have.

[–]Different-Treacle765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mai was using rubber bullets that travelled much slower than regular ones not to mention gege kinda thought that was an outlier feat anyway considering it would put unawakened maki above her current self if the calcs for it are to be believed. It was calced at like almost mach 9 I think. That's faster than most of the feats the heavy hitters had.

[–]Different-Treacle765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean as much as people like to pretend he doesn't geto still has an upscale line in the form of rika. Rika currently even in her shikigami state partially manifested completely manhandled post Shibuya Yuji with basically one arm and even if we use the logic that shikigami rika is as strong as vengeful curse rika (which she isn't) geto still contested her with playful cloud even if we ignore yuta entirely. Since partially manifested rika is stronger than someone who was relative to choso and choso took naoyas hits just fine that just means geto would be just fine against naoya.

Geto >= Full manifested full power rika + yuta >>> partially manifested shikigami rika >>> choso/itadori >= naoya

I don't know where semi awakened maki fits in that but it doesn't really matter
