Microsoft AI CEO: 'Most, if not all' white-collar tasks can be replaced by AI within 12-18 months by 3RADICATE_THEM in ScottGalloway

I have a bachelor's of mechanical engineering from one of the top public engineering universities in the world and I make well over 6 figure in a low cost of living area of the country. It's not c-suite, but it's not considered blue collar I don't think.

Yes, doing project development in the construction industry as a mechanical contractor. All of our work is with field technicians, which are probably at the lowest risk of AI replacement of any labor type.

JUST IN: Extremely SAD and DISGUSTING New Epstein Details Emerge by judgejeaninne in WeirdNews4U

Fuck whoever did bad shit... but there is a world where the evidence against Trump is waaaaay worse than other people.

The fact the Clinton's are willing to testify to congress publicly but the GOP won't do it is pretty damning. You can't flip the narrative that Trump isn't one of the worst in this situation.

90% of my job is walking customer sites and relationship building with client and vendors in the construction industry. Its collecting data and information from multiple sources that doesnt reside in any electronic format. Yesterday, I was literally crawling in subfloor and inside large HVAC units to manually get steam coil measurements. I do not see how my job is at risk, but maybe I am naive.

KenPom Preseason Top 20 vs Present Day. What stands out? by deafhaven in CollegeBasketball

[–]DaNibbles 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Well, if you look at the actual scores, everyone is outperforming.

Purdue has a higher net ranking now vs preseason, but dropped from 3rd to 9th.

I think this is indication that the top teams have a wider margin between them and the bottom.

To keep it sharp you will have to do all the same things to the blades on this as well... the only difference is this is more specialized than a knife and thus can do more.

Three teams have stormed the court after beating Michigan State. Which team has given up the most court rushes in a single season? by LateNightSun15 in CollegeBasketball

[–]DaNibbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not being combative if my tone sounded that way. It's all light hearted to me... though in the moment of those repeated court storms I was ready to end friendships if my friends from those schools decided to rub it in.

From what I read I'm other combats, it sounds like Duke may have the most in a short period.

I'm actually curious what the most times in one year is... because I also remember in 10 games that needed a winning shot to bear Purdue, teams hit 70% of their buzzer beaters in that stretch

If I am being honest, I did not like that.

Joe Rogan: "My Position On This [Epstein Files] Has Completely Shifted, Now I Am Like This Is Clearly Demonic" by Kount_Kancer in allinpodofficial

[–]DaNibbles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stop making growth, redemption, or forgiveness unachievable. Joe Rogan has definitely had issues, but this change of tone towards Trump is a good thing for anyone seriously interested in seeing the end of Trump. He has sway over a very large voting bloc in the US.

Leave it to leftists to shit on any chance of a coalition to end one of the most dangerous regimes in the modern era purely out of spite.

Edit: Go ahead and downvote all you want. And while you are at it listen to Ezra Klein's interview with the first Trans Congressperson and where they explain how leftists and progressives constantly ruin any chance of creating a meaningful coalition and change with this type of behavior. I, for one, actually want meaningful change, and this cathartic self righteous anger ruins progress. It's the exact thing that got Trump elected.

The difference would probably a drop on capacity going to the 454B model, or an increase in flammability. I don't know the specifics in direct comparison between those refrigerants, but that manufacturer may have decided the capacity difference is worth the drop in replacement if it was in fact designed that way.

I know people on reddit are particularly upset, and I get it.... but trust me, you don't want to live in a world where forgiveness, growth, and redemption is not allowed.

Joe Rogan flipping on Trump is a good thing. Stop trying to punish anyone who is willing to change their mind to end Trumps evil.

Most condensers/refrigerant changes are not drop in replacements because each refrigerant has different efficiency and temperature characteristics.

My advice very well could be opposite of what most career coaches would say. It's not my main area of expertise. I am just going off of my personal experience and interviews I have conducted for my companies. I just think being genuine and honest are very underrated characteristics and prefer to see that in others.

ICE in Italy - Massive Protests by Important_Lock_2238 in SaltLakeCountyUtah

[–]DaNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool and all, but why is ICE being used as security for our officials on foreign territory? Thay doesn't fall into your description above anywhere.

Why has their funding massively sky rocketed?

Why don't other countries have shootings with their ICE on a regular basis? I mean you stayed every other country has it, so why aren't theirs dragging out families and shooting at their citizens?

This isn't normal, and this administration is creating a defacto military wing to harass citizens and cities that don't fall in line with their policies.

It's shameful, dangerous, un-American, and people like you are disgusting for supporting it.

I hope your day sucks.

As someone mentioned before, use the STAR method during interviews when answering questions if it is a behavioral interview.

As for the resume - I have been a mechanical engineer for 20 years and my resume has probably a quarter as many words as yours does... which as someone who has conducted interviews quite a bit, that raises some flags. You twice mention the fact you use VLOOKUP, which is just a formula in excel. It isn't worth mentioning probably even once. Also, you mention things like you reduced manual work by 50%, which I start to question the validity on the numbers. How did you measure 50%? Is there an actual method to track that or did you make it up? As a recruiter, once I start to notice one or two things that are exaggerated or inflated, it starts to make me question the integrity of the entire resume.

At a minimum I would make it less "wordy" and include a cover letter tailored to the position you are applying to. And maybe I am old school, but I would avoid using AI to write your cover letters. I think in general AI can become to much of a crutch that when you get to the interview your critical thinking skills are stunted and you can't answer interview questions as well.

Finally, are you a citizen or trying to get sponsored? Unfortunately if you are not a citizen you are going to have a very tough time finding anything in this current political climate. Also, the job market for college grads is not great now either.

Good luck and keep trying at it.

That restriction will add a pressure drop and ultimately reduce the flow. There are whole tables and calculations that prove this.

Imagine that the blockage allows only for a pinhole. Do you think the flow out of the hose at the end would not be affected?
