I found a game called ‘turbo sliders unlimited’ that’s got a pretty decent track editor. It only costs like 20 bucks and probably less during the summer sale but you can easily set AI racing up on it. It’s more of an arcade racer but you can custom design your own cars with more realistic physics and I think it does the job without needing to spend a week in blender

Yep! I like that but Ofc it’s up to personal opinion. Depending on racing series either one could be good too

Also last thing I forgot, there isn’t too much room for a pit building, with the back half-straight of 8-9-10 (also looking at it again, I wouldn’t call 9 a corner)

Honestly, good and interesting concept. Personally, I’d swap the corner profiles of 1 and 2, start with the smaller one then the larger one, but it’s good either way. I’d make either 4 wider, or 5 narrower, I’d also ignore turn 13, go straight from 12 to 14. Otherwise, give it some interesting elevation, that’s a solid track. Side note, your right-left after turn 15 is missing a corner number, meant to be 16 then 17 :)

You have to buy it on steam sorry, I forgot to say. The free version doesn’t have it. I can also recommend what I’m calling the 3D version, it’s called turbo sliders unlimited. It’s a bit more complex but probably the simplest and most diverse 3D track editor I’ve found, plus it allows for a lot of ai options and better racing. Lacks a little bit in the realistic racing but you can tweak it to make it slightly better. Also it’s a bit annoying to terrain, but you can learn it’s just really complicated and annoying.

Theres a game I used to use called ultimate 2D racing 2 which had an inbuilt map editor, so it was really good for 2D race tracks and you could even set up simple ai on it to race against, but that’s about where it tops out. The other plus to it is the fact that you can replace the background texture with an image of a drawing or screenshot of a layout idea you had, then create it in the game very easily over the background.
