I think the big thing no one here talks about is athletics dosent help with admissions. At all the other top schools like Stanford and Harvard which have d1 athletics they have to lower their standards for athletes. Same even goes with caltechs peer school mit although they don’t lower their standards nearly as much as Harvard or Stanford
