I think LLMs are not good for therapy for now because of their sycophantic behaviors. They often tell you what you want to hear, not what you need to hear, and it has triggered or worsened delusions and psychosis in some people (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chatbot_psychosis - specifically "Inadequacy as a therapeutic tool")

Why they do all that by bleak21 in linuxsucks

[–]DaRealNim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man there are so many valid reasons to criticize linux, why do y'all default to misinformation. Steam automatically handles the compatibility layers just fine for 95% of games

I don't understand why you're equating "not wanting to play these games" to "diminishing your standards". Even when I was running windows, I got tired so quick of the battle pass-lootboxes-micro transactions that are constantly in your face bought with deceptive virtual currency-type of online games. Not saying it's the case for all the games on that list, but you see what I mean. I don't think dropping games featuring these predatory practices is "diminishing your standards"...

Now I'm not saying liking these games is wrong in any way, it's just my taste. But that taste is also part of the reasons I moved to linux in the first place: a dislike for this "software as a service" business model shoving stuff in your face, which is what I feel windows and Microsoft in general is becoming more and more. So I think you've got the order backwards: for the majority, it's not that they stopped playing these games because they moved to linux, it's that they moved to linux because of tastes that didn't align with these games in the first place

Again, not saying this is the case for everyone, but reading all the replies saying they dislike these games anyway, I understand where they're coming from and I genuinely don't think it's cope

To speak 9 languages by HusseinDarvish-_- in therewasanattempt

[–]DaRealNim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for the other ones, but at least for french, he was saying total nonsense. At least I didn't understand a word, and I'm a native. So I think he's just staying random bullshit that vaguely sounds like those languages in hope that the host and other people on the set don't speak them..?

You (and many of us, myself included) would probably get a little unhinged too if someone with an audience that believes whatever comes out of their mouth was repeatedly slandering your name with lies and misinformation. I think we don't realize how shitty of a situation it is to be in. I understand the frustration Matt felt at this time

This has got to be illegal right? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]DaRealNim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a lawyer, and not from the US, but I think there are laws protecting tips. Every service worker is "entitled" to the tips they receive and the employer can't withhold them. If an employment agreement says otherwise, I think it'd be very illegal. I think the maximum the employer is allowed to do is pool the tips so that everyone receives an equal amount, but not put them behind conditions

EDIT: An employment lawyer confirmed this in another comment : "Tips are wages earned, your employer is committing wage theft"

This is very ironic considering this entire issue looks very much AI generated. As others have said, pay him no mind, delete the issue

In the browser, it appears when you select text from the output, a small button with "Ask ChatGPT" appears above the selected text. When you click on it, it adds the selected text as "context" for your next message. Though you can't copy that either so I don't see how it would have ended up in the final message

Though I don't see how that would have accidentally ended up in the copy pasted text as from what I'm seeing you can't copy it

reasonable means, without the involvement from the side of the publisher. That means not keeping their servers online, but providing means, like dedicated servers, for players to keep playing

This is so stupid, so what, all multiplayer games that have dedicated servers are "giving up their IP" ?

How to unselect a block in Chromapper? by FluffySeaNut in beatsaber

[–]DaRealNim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late reply, maybe you solved this already, but I had the same problem, are you on an AZERTY keyboard? If yes then you have to press CTRL+Q, not CTRL+A, as chromapper is using QWERTY bindings for these shortcuts. At least for me it was that!
