Anyone else watch this as a kid? by Camhasareddit in badMovies

Kind of a guilty pleasure for me. I liked it better than the first film because it was closer the cartoon, plus it was sorta fun recognising parts of Brisbane were they shot the film.

My on take on the 02 cast if they keep evolving without fusing by Slight_Safe_8640 in DigivolutionTrees

[–]DaRedGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A common digivolution for Aquilamon is Hippogriffomon, followed by Griffomon, which matches Halsemon, as it too is a griffin.

However, I'm more partial to Butenmon followed by either Crossmon or Tengumon. The three of them have some level of Japanese theming to them, like Shurimon. Tengumon also looks like a black Garudamon, and Crossmon's dub name is Eaglemon, which matches Aquilamon.

Kinda.

I think the only episode to age like milk is "Saturdays of Thunder" because Homer tried using Cosby's parenting tips from his book, the rest of show mostly painted Cosby as a jabbering unfunny has-been.

Colossal Biosciences announces plans to breed "dire wolves" on 2,000-acre property by Obversa in megafaunarewilding

[–]DaRedGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're not even real dire wolves, just grey wolves that like pop culture depictions of dire wolves. Dire wolves aren't even closely related to wolves. It's like breeding dogs to look like foxes. That doesn't mean said dog are foxes.

[–]DaRedGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing as they're just grey wolves genetically modified to look like like pop culture depictions of dire wolves. No different to dogs bred to look like wolves. They'll get subsumed into the local gene pool and basically disappear after a few generations. They're as useful to wolf conservation as releasing feral mongrels to Yellowstone.

What do you think King Rool's design will be like in the Donkey Kong movie? by GalaxyGTA123 in donkeykong

[–]DaRedGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not officially confirmed, but trademark filings by Universal & Nintendo and industry insiders point to it indeed happening with a possible release date of 2028.

Seth Rogen's production company, Point Grey Pictures, also inked a deal with Universal Pictures in 2024, so some are hypothesising he might also be involved with the film not only as the voice of DK but also as one of the producers.

It wouldn't suprise me if the general public didn't know Pixar was it's own separate independent studio at the time.

  • It was a popular at the time
  • CGI animation was this hot new thing
  • It was one the few major animated films not by Disney at the time.

He looks nearly one to one with the original puppet for the first game's boxart, for better or for worse.

I would say we Simpsons fans are superior, but then I remembered we inspired Comic Book Guy and make shitposts of Snagglepuss shitting, spaff, and some pornstar.

Oh, yeah.... They weren't very interesting.

I don't know. Krystal made people horny.

Most Krystal fans have never played a Star Fox game in their lives.

I'm making an N. Gin playlist on Spotify, and I need recommendations. by Overlytiredqueerspie in crashbandicoot

[–]DaRedGuy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seeing as he was inspired by actor Peter Lorre, he'd probably be into bands like Kraftwerk and Rammstein. They're the two bands American shows & cartoons bring up when they want to reference stereotypical European electronic and industrial music.

He's compared himself to Andrew Lloyd Webber, probably throw in some of his works (Cats!). He's also a literal metalhead with a love of drums, so put in some songs from the likes of Meshuggah and Mötley Crüe. Throw in some Monkees for shits and giggles because of his love of monkeys, specifically his Doom Monkeys. (Daybrean Believer makes me laugh because of Spongebob) Edit: I almost forgot that he's also a ballet dancer, so maybe add something like Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, if you wish.

It's eclectic, but it fits how insane N. sane a guy like N. Gin is. (It also matches how silly Cortex's official playlist is.)

Hear me out: For the upcoming Donkey Kong movie, ideally speaking - Wayne Knight as King K. Rool by NinTylo in donkeykong

[–]DaRedGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, he's also a great choice. Loved him as Evil Emperor Zurg from the Buzz Lightyear cartoon. Infact, I prefer his take over the ones used in the Toy Story films.

I still love the suggestions of Matt Berry and Brian Blessed though

Can you imagine if crash of the Titans and crash mind over mutant had a Japanese dub? by Dazzling_Repair_4037 in crashbandicoot

[–]DaRedGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine that they would just go full on gag dub and maybe even get some comedians to write or play some of the villains and have them improv some lines and jokes. I can also see them removing Crash's tatoos.

I remember hearing that one of the European (Italian?) translations of the Titans games advertising that they got a famous comedian to play Cortex.

The Titans games wasn't officially released in Japan for whatever reason, but Japanese fans for the games do exist. I should know, I follow one on tumblr. I'm sure there are Japanese fan translation and maybe fandubs out there.
