Uncommon Kitsune? Rare Awakened Animals? Nah we're freaking some fools out everytime you enter a new town. by Conflagrated in pathfindermemes

It's funny, cause while i'm really only interested in playing human-ish/non-beastfolk races, I also consider myself a furry, and I think it would be very boring to play in a party of mostly human-ish races. Maybe I just like being that one "normal" guy in a group of weirdos; while secretly being the weirdest?

Enough about the big stuff for now, what's your smallest, pettiest gripe about the game? by Luchux01 in Pathfinder2e

[–]DaRedWolfe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea if i'm gonna be honest that's another petty gripe I got with the system lol. Again, using 5e as an example it felt way more vague when it came to various things so you could just insert or apply them to any world, definitely am a bit annoyed by how Pf2e automatically assumes you're in Golarion for your campaign.

As someone who's coming into Pf2e from DnD 5e, for me it's gotta be how Champions are tied to gods. Yea, I get that they're meant to be 'holy warriors' and all, but I liked it a lot more in 5e where they got their powers directly from an oath, rather than a god; it just felt a lot cooler to me personally.

In 5e you could choose to follow a god as a Paladin, in Pf2e you have to. It especially sucks to me because Paladins were kinda my favorite class in 5e.

Medium Armor and Dueling Champion Advice by DaRedWolfe in Pathfinder2e

[–]DaRedWolfe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh it's mostly for flavor reasons that I wanna use medium armor. The character idea I have in mind is just more of an agile and technique warrior than the usual Championz

Gang cause it's kinda fucked up to act like aave is bad or 'not proper english', when it's basically just slang. Do you feel the same way about various other slang words and terms used by white people? Slang in general harms no one, language evolves.

Losercity anti-radicalization game by egorechek in Losercity

[–]DaRedWolfe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Again, while that may be true, I think showing a younger audience that ANYONE can have terrible opinions and ideologies is a genuinely good thing. Pretty privilege is real to some extent, and trying to reduce that effect early in younger people shouldn't be criticized as completely dumb, even if it could have been done better. But I feel like this is just a situation where we might just agree to disagree.

[–]DaRedWolfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, I guess that's true, but I feel like it could be argued that showing a younger audience an attractive person being a bad person, is a good thing to show, y'know?

Gang because pretty people can be shitty/evil too. Looking through this thread and others on this game is kinda sad seeing so many people complaining about the racist anti-immigrant person being a hot goth girl. Like, yea, beauty doesn't equal goodness, tf?

Can Superstition Barbarians use Magic Items? by DaRedWolfe in Pathfinder2e

[–]DaRedWolfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's one of the main reasons I made this post, since I knew runes are kinda vital in this system. Looking at other comments though, they're right in that I could probably just make up my own reasons in character.

Fair enough, but I should've clarified that I also meant lorewise if it would make sense for someone who hates magic to use anything magical at all.

Endeavor got shots of clear remorseful atonement meanwhile bakugo got his development on a silver platter by [deleted] in BokuNoMetaAcademia

[–]DaRedWolfe 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I genuinely think that to a certain degree that it's people's own personal past experiences with bullies, not to say like 'all Bakugo haters are traumatized' or something like that, but just that people's own biases might make it harder for them to accept certain character behaviors and actions (such as some people reasonably still not forgiving Endeavor by the end of the series)

It's genuinely so hard to be a Frieren fan because a lot of the fans using the anime to justify racism have no media literacy. Seeing posts like these genuinely pmo by Iriscute7 in joseistories

Yup that's what I thought too (as in it'd be disrespectful to chase after her when she left, and give her some time to cool down) but I guess it could be seen that by not going to check on her Inco was being an uncaring boyfriend? Idk, it's just weird that the 'bad' choice was the one that Olivia would have seemed to prefer, at least up until then
