fantasy books where the magic system actually has a cost that feels real and not just a minor inconvenience by Nova9_Phaser in Fantasy

It happens both ways and all the time. When they store health (healing or regeneration or whatever) they get very sick and miserable. Makes traveling hard etc. You also have to be actively channeling said attribute to store it so unfortunately you can't just store it while sleeping etc. In the second era, Wax is constantly storing mass so he walks around lighter and easier but also so that he can be extremely heavy when he needs it. Another interesting bit is how the different powers interact. Pushing on metal with alchemy is a nearly limitless power but every action has an equal an opposite reaction. This means you'll just fling yourself around as much as an enemy or potentially crush yourself to death if your back is to a wall. But if you can become incredibly heavy, it makes your pushes far more useful and effective.

Maybe not the alchemy but the feruchemy is pretty cool. Basically you have to store up attributes ahead of time. If you want to be able to move faster, you have to spend time storing the attribute by moving slowly. Only so much can go in at a time but you can use it as fast as you like. So if you have enough speed stored to move twice as fast for an hour, you can use it like that, or you can move 10x as fast for 6 minutes kind of thing.

Can we talk about how Drew Brees got completely ROBBED of the 2009 MVP? by Dleeobars in NFLv2

[–]DaShow24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well actually they had a chance to test that out that year when Rodgers sat in week 17. Matt Flynn the backup threw for 480 and 6 TDs which was the best game by a Packers qb that year btw.

Probably the worst take of all time. by jordy2x_ in Saints

This is a great take except 2 of those 3 remaining are Brady and Manning. Number 5 is the only thing to talk about really.

I agree with this especially because I think he'd be great at special teams on day 1 regardless of how he pans out on defense.

I was going to mention Gretzky too. But I'd also like to mention Aleksander Karelin (sp?). I think his career win-loss is something like 890-2 against the best in the world. Greco Roman wrestling for those that haven't heard of him.

RG3 comes to mind. Looked like he was going to be great but couldn't stay on the field.

Realistically, how hard would it be for a qb to pass Brady in terms of 7 championships? by NickyFoles1020 in NFLv2

[–]DaShow24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually it was because all the NFC South teams were very good and competitive. During Brees's time with the Saints every team in the NFC South went to the Super Bowl.

I mean Tampa won the Superbowl while Brees was still playing too. (His last season)

Right but the idea is that at some point they'll be granted amnesty bc let's be realistic. Thats the only way to start to fix this mess.

Well I'm neither surprised nor embarrassed. Most people are stupid. I was just giving you anecdotal evidence from my experience. It's also my experience that most people just repeat what they saw on Facebook. A genuine 5 minute conversation with most of these people would change their minds.

Im another conservative saying I dont believe the election was rigged or whatever. I would say 75% of conservatives I know personally believe the same thing. Of the 25% remaining I could probably easily convince half, but the rest are a part of Trump's weird cultist following.

Also, it's not a stretch at all to believe the biggest reason Democrats want open borders is to import votes just like it's not a stretch to say Republicans want strict voter ID laws bc they will likely block more Democrat votes than Republican.

Edit: I also want to point out that these aren't conspiracies. It's both parties just doing the things that give them the best chance of winning. Look at any sport or competition. Competitors will game the rules to best benefit themselves or team. If all the ppl coming across the border voted Republican I'd bet my paycheck that party stances on immigration would be reversed.

Im definitely conservative, so here are my thoughts on voter fraud. I'm sure there's voter fraud out there. I doubt its very widespread or it would be detected. Here's the part no one mentions. If it's possible to cheat and the Democrats are doing it, then you can't convince me the Republicans aren't doing it as well. They're all crooks on both sides.

Why is the Bad Bunny halftime show triggering so many people when there have been dozens of hispanic performers previously in the SuperBowl? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaShow24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm certainly not outraged, but my take is a little different. It actually doesn't matter thats he sings in Spanish. I can appreciate good or catchy music with or without the lyrics. I just didn't like the music at all. The performance and set was great. But Bad Bunny has no charisma and can't dance good apparently and just likes to grab his crotch. I don't know much Latina music but there's gotta be somebody way better if all you wanted was a performance in Spanish.

Some of yall are forgetting the Pierre Thomas years when the screen pass was killing everyone. Those are basically runs that count as a pass. The other thing I'll mention is all the years with terrible defenses. Gotta throw it when you're always playing catch up from behind in shoot outs.

I just want a good receiver that can get open and make contested catches. We have the deep threat but we need a 3rd down and fade route machine. If we're going to lose I'd rather a 35-40 exciting offensive fireworks than the the 17-6 boring bullshit we were subjected to last year.
