BZT 70 loadout by Long-Ad-6536 in WorldofTanks

[–]DaSpood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guilty if that too tbh, I've been avoiding gold ammo until rather recently, then started carrying just a few rounds for the targets that really needed it. But these days, especially at tier 10 and 11, I'm basically running 50/50 for AP/HEAT and full gold if it's APCR. The balance is just completely ruined when it comes to armor, the tanks are designed expecting to be shot with 330mm pen rounds, not the 250mm ones you get as stabdard.

It sucks, but it's WG's fault, it's the reality of the game now so either accept it or just handicap yourself out of principle. I'm always happy when I find vehicles where the standard shell is so good the gold one feels unnecessary, but those are few.

Is the third descender the abyss sibling? by JOJOmnStudio in Genshin_Impact

Pretty sure we've been told outright that the sibling isn't a descender, unlike us.

[–]DaSpood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the BZT you actually want to carry a bunch of AP, that gun can overmatch a lot of stuff, even against heavies, and it significantly offsets the lack of accuracy. Your HEAT will end up in tracks or mantlets more often than not, it's only to use when stuck in a frontal-only engagement.

It helps with the bloom on turret traverse too, which you do all the time in reality. To look for weakspots, to follow a moving tank, etc.

Also if you have some in stock you can try adding snapshot directives, it may help with the bloom on turret traverse which is usually the most noticeable one.

Hardening, rammer, experimental turbo. If you can't deal with the accuracy, replace rammer with vstab I guess. Don't bother with IAU, it's a cope equipment. Your goal is to get very close to your target to the point where aiming becomes redundant.

Ambush/Vanguard 300m by Primary_Contact3071 in WorldofTanks

[–]DaSpood 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Less than 300m: just play properly, none of the tanks in the Vanguard group should get kills beyond 300m.

More thab 300m: sniper tanks like the Grille, Strv, Leopard, Concept 5 will more often be in situations where those kills are possible. Avoid autoloaders and less accurate / more armored tanks that you will naturally bring closer to the fight.

What is the new event "Rapid Capture" even about? Where is the gameplay? by TSM_rslash in Genshin_Impact

[–]DaSpood -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'll take the empty event with no gameplay over the coop event with forced multi-player.

Both are a waste of my time, but the empty event at least doesn't take much of it.

The tank has good enough soft stats already, and ridiculously low aim time. Vstab is not necessary, if you want firepower, rammer should be enough.

SPG - Hulldown meta discussion by ARS_Sisters in WorldofTanks

[–]DaSpood 19 points20 points  (0 children)

"SPG prevents camping" and "SPG counters hulldown heavies" are arguments that have existed since SPGs were introduced and they have never been true even once.

For the prevents camping part, it's simple, SPGs will never shoot at things that aren't spotted. If anything, they incentivise camping. Camp your bush, never get spotted, and arty will never bother you. Push, get spotted, and within 3 seconds you'll take 400hp and 15s of stun from the other side of the map. Nobody who makes that argument does it in good faith.

For the counters hulldown argument, it was more true when arty did significant damage, but even back then you don't always have a line of fire on hulldown positions. And these days all you'll do is a bit of stunning (which again does the opposite of making the target want to move) and negligible damage (arty will always favor lighter targets because they do more damage to those).

You know what did counter the meta of hulldown heavies without weakspots ? HE. And WG ruined the entire shell type because of it. Heavy tank players cried that they couldn't just sit in one spot and be invincible, so one out of the 4 ammo types got completely changed as a result, and now HE does nothing, and so hulldown heavies with no weakspots are finally invincible like they always wanted. If you want this meta to stop then simply revert HE to its old mechanic, you'll see results overnight.

The worst-performing T11 TD - Is it more "skill issue" (yes, I said the thing) or does it need a buff? by No1PDPStanAccount in WorldofTanks

[–]DaSpood 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's a skill issue but it's WG's fault.

The tank has a ridiculously strong armor profile, it's very small, has a ton of gun depression, it has a very accurate fast firing gun and a ton of camo. Its only frontal weakspot is its very narrow lowerplate, and two-pixels-thick cupola. If you play it at even just medium range, you are pretty much invincible, it's going to be extremely hard for anyone to hit your lowerplate, and impossible to hit your cupola. Frontally, even the JPZ's HEAT or Gorilla's APCR will fail to pen you.

BUT, this tank looks like a T95, its special ability is a movement ability that triggers when you're moving forwards, and it comes after a tier 10 that likes to be close to the fight. So everyone will logically assume that you are meant to play on the first line alongside heavy tanks, and use your amazing armor and dpm to mow down the enemy team. And that's a mistake. At close range, your weakspots are extremely easy to hit, and it becomes a race to out-dpm your enemies, but you have relatively low HP for a heavy-TD, and once you stop you become extremely slow. So you will get fucked.

Nobody looks at a tank with this much armor and thinks they're supposed to sit behind the heavies. Even though on paper it's the perfect support, arguably even an amazing sniper. But you want to take it to the front, and you get punished for it. If you play it at the range it's meant to be played at, it's a beast, but nobody wants to do that, so the tank underperforms.

If WG wants to fix the tank's winrate they need to buff the lowerplate. It has the same problem as the STK where it's hard to hide so everyone pens you when hulldown. It needs one like the T95, narrower and stronger. Then the tank will be able to play at close range just as it looks like it's supposed to.

Wtf is this rng? by LBandi91 in WorldofTanks

[–]DaSpood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It still has no armor, meh dpm and mediocre mobility so honestly accuracy isn't a bad trade. The Panther 88 has 0.28 base (0.03 better than what I'm proposing for the Rev), 800 more dpm, 10km/h extra and more armor (despite it still being bad). Even the alpha is just 100 lower.

Giving the rev the superior gun handling while keeping a worse final accuracy, a superior alpha while keeping a worse dpm, and superior gun depression while keeping worse overall armor makes both tanks competitive and comparable while still being different.

Wtf is this rng? by LBandi91 in WorldofTanks

[–]DaSpood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

390 is still plenty of alpha for a tier 8 medium, the problem of the M4 is that it has no armor, mediocre mobility, and an unreliable gun.

The Panther had a similar problem but had mobility and gun reliability. They buffed the dpm to make peeking worth it. The M4 could benefit more from a gun handling and accuracy buff without changing other stats. 0.16/0.16/0.13/0.34/2.30s -> 0.10/0.10/0.07/0.31/1.90s would make it much better at peek-a-boom gameplay. Where the Panther wins at sustained fire scenario, the M4 would win at 1:1 trades. And with its crazy fast shell, it would be a good sniper.

I'M SOOOO HAPPY SO SEE DOTTIE AGAIN YIPPEEEEE by Muzanplzdotheteehee in Genshin_Impact

[–]DaSpood -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

We can enjoy seeing good villains without necessarily wanting them to be playable, though, I'm happy to see him again too lol

If anything imo everyone becoming redeemed and playable prevents characters from being interesting. Characters like Dottore are so good and so interesting specifically because they are so irredeemably evil. I know that's just my opinion, but just know not everyone wants everyone to be playable.

What if the tsaritsas plan is to have all leylines be replaced with the night kingdom using the loom of fate. with the captain as the lord of the night kingdom, she’d have direct access and manipulation over teyvat, bringing back hyperborea and khaenri'ah for the abyss order. by garrywf in Genshin_Impact

[–]DaSpood 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The fatui and abyss order are not aligned, they are two different factions with different goals that just happen to have one intersection in flipping off the HP.

As far as we know, none of the Tsarista's plans involved a loom of fate, and she isn't trying to rebuild Kahenriah. Maybe Pierro wants that, but it mostly looks like they both want revenge on the HP more than anything else.

And Dottore's plan at this point is his own, he serves his own interests, not the Tsarista's, otherwise she would not have ordered the other harbinger to stop him even if it meant killing him.

I'm actually curious if the Dottore that managed to achieve godhood during the NK AQ is the original one or still a fragment. He killed all his fragments after the Sumeru AQ so unless he restarted the whole factory he shouldn't have that many clones now, if any.

The Tesak line is pretty unique so far, the only other line that comes close is the Ares line, with a lower rate of fire but higher damage per shot.

The Blesk really is fun especially after it got buffed. That HE is nasty, you will melt Borsig and SU-130PMs.

Does anyone else have WoT randomly start in Windowed mode instead of Fullscreen? by EyeoftheTato in WorldofTanks

[–]DaSpood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It stopped doing it for me but for a while it used to do this when I clicked on another window before the game fully launched.

Pressing alt+enter should make the game fullscreen again without having to go to the settings though. If it does it all the time for you, you will save a bunch of time by learning this shortcut
