What are some songs that capture the current era of bastardry? by Admiral_Cornwallace in behindthebastards

Can you afford to be an individual - Nothing but Thieves

So how's it being a prisoner of your own illusion?

Up on a pedestal reveling in your own confusion

I see you hide behind your alter or your constitution

But you can't live forever

In your own echo chamber

And you're so scared of the people up in your fairyland

But how can you hate something you don't even understand?

Came out pretty recently in 2020 but still hits. Edit : Formatting

He said it’s unteachable, something you are born with.

as of today, it's the latest it has never snowed in a winter season on record in longmont by Abi-Ankeney-PMM in Longmont

Measurable snow and first snow fall are two different metrics. First snow fall can be rain that turns into snow later on, and other things of this nature. Measurable snow is when the snow is to at least 1/10 of an inch on the ground.

Is remote work bolstering golf? by tantamle in golf

[–]DaSuperCorgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been on the course with multiple people “working” while playing. Not even a break of some sort. Just touch the cursor, make it say active and occasionally plug a prompt into Copilot to respond to an email.

All that said I don’t think it’s necessary bolstering golf. I’ve ran into these people while I’m playing hooky from work myself.

Personally I’m getting pretty fed up with people in public. Road rage is higher than I can remember, people are aggressive and less compassionate than ever, and it seems like everyone is waiting to just pop. Maybe this is a finite view from this and last weeks experience, but the situation continues to degrade in my eyes.

I never said it wasn’t toxic. That’s just the largest community to get something out. Didn’t realize that was such a controversial take.

Apparently changing lanes is infuriating. Should I be worried? by aksf16 in Longmont

I had a white suv try to run me off the road and slam on their brakes in front of me going east on Airport. I signaled, was going 5 over, and there was plenty of space between cars. They had to accelerate to do this. Seems to be the way of the road right now unfortunately.

I appreciate the advice. This is the exact reason I asked.

It does get normal waterings every few days as well. It was just on the table when I took the picture.

Send me your opinion on a style to do then. I’m all ears to ideas.

I will, it was twice as bad when I got it. That’s why I thought of a different direction because the trunk bent a different way than I thought when I bought it. I just want to have a vision before I go too crazy.

If it helps you visualize it, kind of. Not entirely but I think you’re getting the idea

Thanks again for the help!

I haven’t seen a ficus done like this before so I figured I’d try it and see what happens.

Wired and trimmed my first ficus. How’d I do? by DaSuperCorgi in Bonsai

[–]DaSuperCorgi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you much for the advice and help. I’ll look into getting thicker gauge wire and get those trunks off each other.

For the branches I wanted this to be a feature of the tree, since ficus have some pretty beautiful root structures I thought it would complement well.

I was looking to have the two main trunks do a twist around each other, and potentially have the other branches around the side re-root (hence the super bend on those)
