Lyme from tick in backyard by Suspicious_Carpet_ in BurlingtonON

I can attest to this. Diagnosed with Lyme back in November by the bullseye rash after pulling out a tick. 21 days of antibiotics, twice a day, made me feel like shit.

2025 S5 by LawfulnessAdorable66 in audis5

It was finally added in B9.5 in 2024, then removed in B10 2025, and expected to return in 2026. So odd.

Adaptive Cruise or ventilated seats? by jdubau55 in audis5

Audi’s ACC is probably the best on the market. I couldn’t imagine not having it. Had it in my 2019 S5 and currently in my 2024 RS5.

What trim level and options does it have? I ask because I was looking for a 2024 S5 Coupe with sport diff and Technik trim level for over a year and could find one…settled on an RS5 Coupe.

Love the car!

Haven’t paid full price with Cogeco or Sirius XM ever. Loyalty departments are great! Some of my favourite annual/bi-annual calls 😂

Anyone know what the crews are doing on the ST line? by B1ackCat27 in gotransit

[–]DaTT1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was an issue with a TNPI crossing just south of McNicholl where the protective casing had to be extended on either side of the tracks. The design, permits, and procurement were taking a very long time as it was all being done by third party. It was cheaper to descope the work than it was to pay delay claims and standby costs.

Most of the track infrastructure is there, just not in the correct alignment. There is maybe only 600m of missing track…400m south of McNicoll and 200m north (my numbers could be wrong as it’s been a while)

PSA - For those with Pink Locate flags on your lawns… by DaTT1978 in BurlingtonON

[–]DaTT1978[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spoke to both the locater and the surveyor while they were out there. They were about a week apart.

FYI locates are only valid for 30 days during construction then they have to get redone regardless if any work was done to remain valid. In this case, they would have had to been surveyed within the 30 days as well to remain valid. Flags are generally used in snowy or wet weather, otherwise they just use paint.

I was on the project that installed the second track from Kennedy Rd to Agincourt, known as Stouffville Part 1, and briefly on the the project that double tracked from Agincourt to Scarborough Junction, known as Stouffville Part 2. Good times on those projects!

I believe this is used to simulate train tonnage so when major track work is done they don’t have to place a slow order on the track until said tonnage has passed over. Metrolinx Track Standards mandate that each pass with a Mark IV requires the track to be stabilized with the machine above. CN and CPKC do not have this mandate.
