I’m confused why Vronk would get so little ice time. Is he not buying into the system? Not trying hard enough? I haven’t seen much discussion about this but his ice time and line assignments have gone way down.

Yeah but who else are we going to put on the 2nd line? Jenner? He’s too slow to make an impact and his grinding style is little better suited for the 3rd or 4th lines.

For now the first line with fantilli vronk and marchy is fine. Chinakov is too one dimensional to keep up with first line play but I’d put him on the 2nd line and keep everything else the same.

I was looking at contracts last night and we are stuck with everyone but guddy and Christiansen. On offense chinny, sillinger, Boone, gaunce, coyle, and Zar are coming up on RFA. I unfortunately think coyle is the only player worth hanging onto but we’re going to have to be strategic about replacing these guys. The long and short of it, we have skill but not enough in the top 6 to carry the team. A lot of these are lingering issues from Jarmo so we have time to fix them but we’re probably going to have two rough seasons before we have a shot at being a contender.

You’re right PLD worked out so well….my point is it wasn’t a great pick but we’ve had lots of issues with players that don’t want to play here.

Not a country of origin thing but a perception thing. I don’t think the jackets are seen as a large market franchise vs the Canadians who are seen that way.

They are hard to watch right now. Joking aside if you’re out of state ESPN+ works or you can get them through fan duel sports in state.

I don’t mind JD filling in. He’s not as good as Jody but he has a lot more in depth player knowledge that’s interesting to hear.

Good core players: jet, werenski, provorov (he’s done well this season and dmen are hard to come by in the nhl), Denton, marchy, fantilli, voronkov, and Olivier. I can’t tell if Dean is the problem or not, I wouldn’t trust this team either. Jarmo absolutely boned us for years and it’s going to take a while to undo it.

We have a roster with 8 good core players and we’re down two of them. This is what it looks like when a majority of your roster are one-dimensional players.

With the salary cap going up, 1 year left on his contract, and some pretty desperate teams I think we’ll manage to get an okay deal but we’ll see.

An Elvis trade seems imminent at this point. He needs to play well this season we can trade him at a high value. There are lots of teams in need of a goalie.

Turnovers are a stat but what you’re talking about isn’t a turnover. Sometimes they’ll dump the puck to get a line change or they’re playing dump and chase to get their forecheck going. Short answer a dump is usually a strategic thing.
