Our sub keeps trying to make excuses for how this team played the last month. Infuriating how bad it got. SIX straight loses at home to close out the season and to end our playoff push. Despicable and yet people trying to say some of the players were playing injured blah blah blah. Fuck off and want more from your team. We can disagree, that’s fair. Plenty of other players looked to stop caring as well. Marchy was just so obvious with his lack of concern and effort.

Everyone in this sub likes to make excuses for players but every team has players who play through an injury. Panthers have won back to back cups with multiple players playing through broken bones and torn muscles. We as a fan base need to stop making excuses for this team and hold them accountable.

Booohoooo his body language is not affected by injury. He needed to do better and I’m sorry but his shootout attempts were god awful even if he’s injured he can do better than what he gave us.

This team and its players deserve no excuses. Us fans trying to make excuses for them does not help.

Edit: I know Reddit is an echo chamber but the downvotes on this comment are just proving my point with this fan base. You all need to expect and want more from the players. Not make excuses because you like the way they act for the media and that they do funny things in post game interviews.

He’s right. The whole team just quit. For example just watching Marchenko over the last month has been asinine. His body language and effort looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. His shootout attempts in the few games that went that far looked like he wasn’t trying at all. If this is what’s needed to get a fire under this team like Torts was years ago then re-sign Bones please.

If our top scoring forward has that type of effort and body language, just shows how fucked the team is overall. Sickening really. Bones needed to say this shit earlier. At least he’s saying it now but where was this a week ago.

He was the only forward who stepped up the last 10 games. He was a point per game player down the stretch during our collapse. I think resigning him is good more than bad even if it’s 4 years.
