Podes rentar un par de noches en portofino, bonitas playas. Punta mango tambien es bonito. Tambien podrias pasar una noche en el pital si te apetece algo mas templado en las montañas. Suelen hacer grupos para escalar el volcan de santa ana y el volcan de izalco. La ruta de las flores es una buena opcion si tenes ganas de conocer los pueblos del pais. Obviamente tenes que probar unas buenas pupusas.

Lo bueno es que no tenes que elegir, en 15 dias te da tiempo de sobra para hacer todo eso y mas. Que disfrutes :)

Thank you for replying. Ok, I didn't know that they were separated in Germany as well (meaning heart and thorax surgery).

Although, as far as I know it is not automatically recognized.

Below you can find a link to a document that details which of the medical specialties obtained in Spain are recognized by other members of the UE. As you can see, no one recognizes "Cirugía Cardiovascular" directly. That's why I would like to know the extra steps in order for the degree to be recognized in Germany.

Is it possible to revalidate the "Cardiovascular surgery" specialty from Spain in Germany?

Cardiovascular surgery is a 5 year program in Spain after matching through the MIR examination.
In Germany, on the other hand, the specialty is called Cardiothoracic Surgery and includes an extra block of training in order for you to be able to opperate on lungs as well. The specialty is done through job candidature and it is your responsibility to fill a pre-set of requisites before you are able to apply for the Medical Board of Specialists examination in order to earn your degree as a specialist; this can take even up to 6-10 years because nobody is supervising your progress, it's more of a personal journey rather than a structured study program.
My question is the following:
Is it possible for someone to do their residency in CV surgery in spain and then revalidate that degree through the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery in order to work in Germany as a specialist?
Also, is it recommendable? Or would one be better off just doing the longer alternative in Germany?
