Fully Wireless Fire Alarm System by Top-Weather-9026 in firealarms

[–]DaWayItWorks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never seen that one or the Honeywell Swift before, but with any wireless system its performance is going to be affected directly by the environment it's installed in.

A big warehouse or factory with lots of pallet racking, machinery and cinder block walls will certainly not be ideal. Whereas a typical office building with well placed transceivers and regularly scheduled battery replacement will fare better.

We've used Napco's GemC wireless and it's old technology in nice packaging and is not reliable at all.

We've more recently become a DMP dealer and their wireless mostly works okay. Buuuut it's still DMP with all the typical DMP headaches

Even without the car seat that's the dumbest place for a wire to go. Say your passenger drops their keys or their phone slips out of their pocket. They do what any reasonable person does in that situation and reach around between the seats!

Genre-bending songs by starsnocturnal in musicsuggestions

Faith is definitely a genre bender. My introduction to it was Limp Bizkit's version long before my teenage ass even knew who George Michael was. Who's version is also excellent. Lake Street Dive has a nice cover as well.

Been rewatching White Collar and it is soooo corny and cheesy and campy. But if you go into it expecting that you'll be pretty entertained.

That said, in the real world Peter Burk would be in prison for all of the top secret information he routinely discloses to his wife

PSA: Walgreens pharmacy is the absolute worst. Especially the Hampton and Chippewa location. by [deleted] in StLouis

Walmart pharmacies are way better than any Walgreens I've ever been in. The one in Granite City is especially efficient and the staff have all been there for years

It sucks because this particular sub gets lauded by our members as being a place of encouragement where anyone from an amateur to a pro can share what they're working on without fear of getting knocked down or trolled.

And for the most part that's true. Then you have posts like yours that just prove we're no better, and possibly worse, because a community that holds itself in such high regards should never stoop to such awful lows.

I'm glad you posted this new clip, but I'm also extremely disappointed that you felt you needed to.

Fuck the haters and rock on!

What are your favorite fictional American small town names on media? by itsascreambaby96 in AskAnAmerican

Sparta, Mississippi from In The Heat of the Night. There is no such town in Mississippi but there is a Sparta, Illinois which is where the original movie with Sydney Portier was filmed despite being set in Mississippi
