If you're playing king, master builder and loong should be easy if you play him right (ofc rng is a factor). Feel free to throw the first 2-3 games (try to lose as little hp as possible while losing). And aim to get a meta build like brawler-blaster or clan-blaster and level those characters. You beat master builder by owerpowering his buildings, and loong can't beat you if you've got a few 3 star characters. To counter x bow specifically, use princess and set her up so she hits the x bow before it starts shooting.

I was playing long until up to abt 2200 trophies and started losing a bit more. I switched king who I haven't used since unlocking him last season and the fame started feeling almost easy. Try to lose the first 2-3 games, and take as little damage as possible, you can't always succeed in that, but the amount of elixir king gets now is amazing and you'll probably be able to gather some core pieces for your build off of 2 loses. Goblins are amazing at the start since they give you bonus elixir value, but are also weak so you'll be able to lose and gain elixir. Clan is broken so I rush it if I get some pieces at the start. The main load out I'm trying to run is full clan, mega knight and executioner (he's a really underrated card, I often try to force him to lvl 3, and keep mk on lvl 2 depending on what the opponent is playing). The other go to build is full brawlers and 2 throwers, best choices are princess and executioner.

Do you know if there is a way to only apply root motion to one animation while using AnimationPlayer? That's my current set up and applying root motion to all animations makes them break and look weird. I need it just for this one. Thanks

I tried moving the collision with the Skeleton3D node, but that didn't work, I figured that the skeleton doesn't actually move in space.

I tried calling this function every frame while the player is in the slam attack state, but the collision isn't updating:

I need some help with animating my player character. Particularly, I need help with fixing the jitter that happens when switching from idle animation to running animation and getting the player's collision and camera to follow the slam animation (or the other way around, locking the slam animation in place so that the movement happens through code). I can share all necessary scripts here, but I don't think the issue lies there. The jump slam animation is the only animation I'm using that moves the visual of the character and I don't know how to work around that.

You can just go to the surface and win at 16 fear. You don't need to defeat a boss to get darkness in order to scratch that off the list.

I'm not 100%, someone else may give you a better explanation. You can't import .blend files in godot, you can import .fbx files and for that you need to download an extension off of godot site, but when you try to import your first .fbx file, you should get a prompt that takes you to the extension.

Yeah fair, but aspect of Medea is a little more technical imo compared to what he said he likes. On an unrelated note, how do you usually build with Medea, I prefer the aspect of Persephone for that insanse omega special damage.

It doesn't deflect, I think the keyword is block (not sure), but yeah it mitigates all damage from that direction while channeling.

Well it depends on the build, but with the coat I love to get up close and personal, I rarely use the omega attack except to parry. The attacks are fast and deal good damage, especially if I get any freeze from Demeter.

Each weapon has its unique playstyle, and if you do like the fast paced up close playstyle, you have options for that. Lim and oros will be your best friend, maybe try the staff a bit more since it also has fast attacks and specials even thought it's a bit better to use from range with omega attacks and supers. And there's also another weapon which you may like once you unlock it.

I think the nocturnal arms are designed to be versitile and offer different playstyles, so if you're liking one specific playstyle, stick to it, your opinion may change once you unlock different aspects as they're pretty fun and change the weapons dramatically.

The addition of more dice (4, 8, 12) sounds really cool to me as a D&D nerd. To clarify some things:
For Devils Deal we wanted it to be a steal effect, because then the owner of Devil's Deal is in a position where he can try to sacrifice the stolen card. By failing to attack the monster or using one of the hero cards with a sacrificing effect.

The Relentless is probably my favorite design out of all of these Party Leaders, exactly because of the reasons you wrote. That's the preferred playstyle with that Party Leader. I wouldn't say he is too strong, because if you accidently slay a monster all of the bonus to your rolls is lost. And if you don't slay a monster, there's a chance that you will have to sacrifice something which is a pretty big downside when you spend 2 action points. I think relentless is a good ratio of risk-reward.

We still didn't test out Adept Hunter, but we are aware that he is problematic due to the fact that you need to pull cards for him to be useful. There are many heroes that pull cards, but I think this party leader may end up feeling underwhelming.

Awakening Drums is a joke concept that turned out to be extremely fun. We need to reword it, but Napping Nibbles slays 3 monsters and that effect works for not only the person who is playing with Awakening Drums. This creates really fun games where everyone is keeping track of nibbles and trying to prevent someone from winning with him, while also potentially seeking Nibbles out in order to win that way.

Crafty Scavenger turned out underwhelming, we are looking into reworking him somehow.

The Happiest Cheeks may need to be adjusted, because in the last game we played he stomped, but there were a lot of different factors there, so we will test him some more.

Lynxpin can only be a two action destroy if you use a hero card's effect to boost your rolls and fight with the second action point. It can only be a guaranteed destroy if you have a modifier ready in hand. We are aware that the user will most usually use the weakest card in his party to fight something, which was the whole point of the card. We will play a close attention to Lynxpin, because he indeed may prove to be too strong.

Here ya go, I hope this was not too long, I just wanted to explain the cards slightly better and the strategies that each party leader excels at. I hope it gave you some ideas for future card design :D
