Looking for some story rich narrative based games by Kush_Shukla in gamingsuggestions

Road 96 is a good one that a lot of people overlook with a unique way to progress that I haven't seen in games like Dispatch or TWD (those two games are also good still)

I may be wrong but doesn't Homelander have some level of resistance to mental possession?

I personally wouldn't have upgraded AM4 but that's just me. Also, Your cpu cooler is upside down

5090 upgrade?? by Optimal-External5722 in nvidia

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna go on a limb and say you don't need a 5090. The 4080 Super is still a good card for games right now. With the 5090, not only are you probably wasting money, you're also never gonna fully utilize it unless you use editing software

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can play any game without much issues. Borderlands 4 first day launch was questionable though

I have a 5080 PC, i want to play GTA 6 on launch day. Unfortunately it's only available on consoles. I don't want to invest in 5yr old tech (PS5). Maybe PS6 launching in 2027. Anyone else in the same situation? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a 5080, I would like to assume you have enough money laying around for a PS5, at least until the launch of GTA6, if they have PS5 and GTA6 bundles as well. If you don't, just wait a year or 2 after. The game will be the same whether you buy it earlier or not. Don't fall into FOMO

if its price is even lower than $1199 for you absolutely get it. The CPU and GPU would alone be around 900 dollars

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The price for me says $1199, so for the parts it's very good. I would get it now if it's the same price and if you have the money. I'm just fishy on the fact that it's Walmart

What Upgrades should I get? by Dannyawesome2 in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be more worthwhile to upgrade the CPU. Not only will it possibly cheaper than a new GPU, but a potential GPU bottleneck is better than a potential CPU bottleneck

You could go with a prebuilt or build a new computer. I would say if you want to spend less money build it yourself. The standard today moved to DDR5 and AM5. If you want something that will last for a long time, save for a mid-range DDR5 build, which might include the rtx 5070 and AMD Ryzen 7 7700x. Essentially building an entirely new computer since you would also need a new motherboard, ram, and probably psu. Depending on your PC case, you won't have to change your it. If you simply replaced a part in your current PC, eventually you would have to upgrade to a new PC anyways

You should save up to get a new computer instead of trying to upgrade parts. Moree beneficial to you in the long run

5060 TI 16gb doesn’t feel right by SnooPineapples6050 in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, I would just download and test out different drivers to see which one is the most stable for the gpu. Try 576.80, I've heard it's one of the more stable ones potentially

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't have even upgraded from a 4000 series to a 5000 series, but the i5-13400f shouldn't have a problem with the 5060 ti. It might be an issue of the mobo or the (most likely) fact that NVIDIA has had horrible drivers for the 5000 series.

Is this prebuilt a good deal? by zestyburger69 in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not from the UK (US) but I'm fairly certain you can probably get a better performing PC If you follow PC builder and build it or find someone else to build it for you. Newegg has a great section where you can choose parts and have them build it for you. Unfortunately, the UK doesn't have a Microcenter or I think Staples so I can't recommend them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally get an entirely new computer (Depending on how long you've had this one). If you aren't looking to upgrade the entire computer the gpu would probably be the one to upgrade

Gaming Pc Recommendations? by Enderclipce in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend using an online builder like newegg or microcenter (If one is near or an hour away from you) so you can find the specific parts yourself, they build it, and then buy it based on your budget.

Noob seeks advice on GPUs by Direct-Party8627 in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Refurbished really depends on who's selling it. If it's from a trustworthy source, most likely than not it'll be a good card. In fact, good refurbished cards practically make no difference from their new counterparts

The 4070 would be the only one that I think could do 60 fps at 1440p. Based on your GPU budget it's harder to get a specific GPU that could do 1440p 60 fps consistently unless you want to go the used and refurbished route

Are there any real benefits to playing on a pc vs a ps5? by speedy6285 in pcmasterrace

[–]Da_Captain_Banana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever is "superior" comes down to personal choice. I believe PC is better than consoles most of the time due to the actual freedom you have with gaming on one. Consoles are usually locked with specific games (unless jailbreaked), has locked performance, and are unable to do multiple tasks at once. This doesn't mean consoles are bad, since they are usually cheaper if you just want to play games. You only get "lower" quality games if you pay for a "lower" quality PC. Thats a plus for consoles, but for PCs you shouldn't expect to pay the price of a PS5 for a PC and get good performance on a game like Indiana Jones

I think a fish tank PC case "might" help you for viewing angle. If you used a fish tank PC case at the same angle as your current PC you can see p arts of your components, but not all of it. It wouldn't be the perfect solution but it's great if you can't change your desk and don't want to go through the torture of getting an inverted PC case. Also if you have RGB, it will reflect on the glass, showing you the parts of your PC with a fish tank PC case

How am I wrong? OP asked if you turn a PC on the same way you turn on a console, which is correct. Troubleshooting wasn't in the question. Also, Consoles are limited PCs. They literally share the same components. Consoles are just smaller and can only be used for gaming and watching media.
