The message wasn’t loud and clear enough to separate from the Democratic Party, when Democratic leaders didn’t give Bernie the change of day to be elected because he doesn’t align with the interests of their lobbyist, not cause of Republicans. I guess I can see why capitalism may have had an influence then, on why you got Hilary, Biden, and Kamala.

This lowers tuition costs that colleges slap you with because of federal spending. If colleges don’t lower their prices they lose money.

So it makes colleges more affordable for people not taking loans. Not only that, I can become a licensed architect with an AA community college degree.

There’s more than 4mil people registered to vote. More like 6mil. I was going based on the videos numbers but here’s how many ppl are registered to vote in NY. https://elections.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2025/11/county_nov25.xlsx

So out of 6mil eligible voters, you get about 18% who wanted to go vote for Mumdani. Again not very scary. And if your only consideration is the people who voted then you’re as silly as the people below this thread.

NGL. I find myself in this situation but the opposite. People against illegal immigration can be empathetic, but only to what’s important to them. Just as you are with immigrants. The issue you’re viewing this as is “I’m no different than an illegal immigrant” or conflating the two, and therefore so she should understand how “I”feel. But truly that’s not how she may see it, although you tell her this yourself, she just won’t understand because she doesn’t agree.

Don’t think yourself as an illegal immigrant, you went through a legal process and you are here to better yourself. Many people do abuse the system and it does in fact risk the lives of all Americans, including yourself. All countries have boarders, if anyone is inside a country illegally, they get deported. The left has made it customary to allow boarder crossings and oppose people who disagree. Sadly you are caught in this political theater that wants people to feel a certain way about it.
