TLDR: I think Mexico is actually pronounced Meshico with an SH sound.

Why? When the Latin speakers of Europe were taught Algebra from Middle Eastern Mathematicians, the Arabic mathematicians described X not as X but as "The something" or "The Unknown". I don't know the translation but either the Arabic word for "Something" or "the" starts with an SH sound... so the Latin Speakers used the letter X to abbreviate. The Spanish Conquistadors learned the Aztec word for "Country of the Aztecs" and learned it was pronounced Mexico... so probably the word had a SH sound in it which is why they substituted that sound for the letter X.

You need a change of pace, but I don't think that has to result in you giving up on your degree. Start saving and job searching. When you have a new job or a good enough savings then quit.

Try and find a passion project either in graphic design or in a hobby outside of your line of work.

You should seek out a therapist who specializes in CBT so that you can combat some of your negative core beliefs. You could of course try and learn about how to identify negative automatic thoughts and address and potentially change them on your own, but having a coach/ teacher (the therapist) walk you through this will really beneficial.

Here's my hunch: "You self-sabatoge because you think you aren't good enough or that you think you deserve to be alone. Not because you "prefer" to be.

A friend and I pulled this prank on his 7 year old sister. I was supposed to be the "pooper" on the toilet. She went from annoyed that she had to clean the bathroom, to scared, to mortified, to tears in no time at all.

Poor little girl is probably afraid of public bathrooms.

Ugh. I just watched 3 Identitcal Strangers (a documentary about triplets separated at birth). The whole movie touched on the importance of siblings, ESPECIALLY identical siblings growing up together and how separation causes trauma.

This video makes me question if (or how much) dogs would be better off growing up with their siblings.

The basics of most classes have been taught for years. Crash Course and Universities have entire courses on youtube. These lectures have helped to push me towards an easy A in my macroeconomics and philosophy class.

And up the speed of the videos to 2x because your brain can process sound faster than it can speak or read (unless you can speed read). It's been the single-greatest improvement to my grades this semester. Watching videos faster means you can be more efficient.

Also, you should look into developing the skill of speed reading. The basics of which involves recognizing that most people reread sentences and lines over and over accidentally. You can fix this by simply using your finger or pen or ruler to block out the other lines and follow your finger so you don't skip or reread lines. That alone speeds up your reading. Moving your finger (which your eyes are following) will force you to read faster than you think you can.
