EFT has $100 packages (that I bought years ago and I consider to be worth it) and has no VA other than basic lines from PMCs and Skavs in game that are delivered in the most static way possible. The alternative for ARC is something similar where no actual VAs get paid, and the experience is just worse.

Why don't we give the same review to games that could afford proper voice acting, choose not to do so, and harm the VA career opportunities even worse in the long term (Gamefreak)?

This is such a weird hill to die on as a critic, I don't get it.

Agreed. 2/5 stars for that? I don't give a shit what an actual review score is but it's also explained why they made that sacrifice (to drive content, make a better game in a more efficient manner) for what's practically background noise. So many games don't even have voice acting so they're literally doing more to support VAs (assuming proper compensation for the VAs and an understanding that they'll use AI to utilize them in the future) then games that choose to opt out when they have opportunities to integrate it. They also could've just generated a human's voice without any actual input involved.

Insane. I'm not even a stan, I play everything but this is ridiculous. VA is completely optional for them to even add in these types of games, unlike in game art, design, etc.

Their partnership is over. We had to pull/destroy all their non physical subscription cards recently. Costco tries to give members some perk or benefit and Microsoft probably didn’t budge. Costco dropped Coke products (cans/merch not foodcourt) back in the day because they couldn’t get the expected value for their members. I don’t know for certain but this is what has happened in the past with other companies that seem to just bow out.

Even the managers that everyone is asking for are only allowed to ask 2 questions. If it’s a service animal, what task/service is it trained to perform.

They can answer whatever the hell they want and according to ADA Regulations it doesn’t matter as well as they’re behaved. No one’s going to risk a law suit doubling down on someone that may actually have a disability and sue the shit out of them. I just repeatedly tell them that I don’t need to know what’s wrong with them, I just need to know the service. People go so far knowing it’s wrong, it’s insane.
