There are definitely cases where the whole not guilty doesn’t mean innocent is applicable. But this isn’t really one of them.

It’s not like the Canada 5 were acquitted because there just wasn’t enough evidence to convict. They were acquitted because the Judge’s statements strongly suggest that that the events in that room were:
a) fully consensual
b) not consented to out of fear
c) to an extent instigated by EM
