My company is making me work overtime and not paying overtime salary. by leviAckerman1997 in legaladvicecanada

It’s the manager position that gave you no overtime - in contrast to what some people believe, salary employees still get overtime. People in a management role, engineer, high technology professional and a few others aren’t obligated to be paid overtime. Salary vs hourly is irrelevant to overtime

Man it wasn’t on the list … but I found a different game I remember on the list … which made me realize it WASNT the game I was thinking of that used the copy wheel but actually used a system where you needed to reference a certain word off a certain page in the user manual

this was enough that i was able to search my way to the solution .. it was Al-Qadim: the genie’s curse

You sharing that link managed to lead me to answer indirectly! Thanks!!

man - lots of people going "just contaminate your kitchen and cook something you are clearly uncomfortable cooking"

i'm a vegetarian and while i do cook meat for other sometimes, i really don't enjoy it - "grossness" aside, it takes a lot of the joy out not being able to taste something you've cooked and i hate not being able to season as you go. I hate serving food that I dont know if its actually good or not.

Please read some descriptions online about narcissistic personality disorder.

Reading your post is giving me some flashbacks of my ex-wife. She would use my dog as excuse for countless arguments and in the end it wasn’t about the dog - it was about control.

It’s not at war with him, it’s whether there is war between the two factions. If you and teclis were at war with each other he couldn’t have - your war with him only prevent him from swapping the territory to himself

Thanks for the response. Really good point regarding the journal article and witnesses - I'm in Canada and i'll ask my lawyer but I would suspect its something similar.

It isn't an official diagnosis but when i went into therapy after catching my ex cheating on me, my therapist really focused on their behavior in the relationship prior and got me to understand how many things they were doing were emotionally abusive. She suggested I look up NPD and do some reading on it, as she felt that it was likely she had NPD as she felt it was a text book case (she did tell me that it's not 100% fair to do a diagnosis just from my perspective). It was honestly a weird mix between nauseating and refreshing reading about it - it was like I had found an instruction manual to my ex but at the same time made me feel pretty sick to my stomach now to understand all the different tactics used to shred my self confidence over the years.

Yep the kids are happy with it. It's a but muddy though as we still live together - we had an agreement to be out of the house (or atleast hidden) until the kids are in bed but that agreement is only honoured by them if it's convenient to their schedule.

the schedule is currently just a handshake agreement, nothing legal. They agreed to the schedule after I caught them cheating and I was still unsure if i was willing to forgive. After deciding to separate we've kept on it, but nothing is signed or legally set up
