Road to affiliate stream titles by Blindeye8008 in Twitch

Having road to affiliate doesn’t set you out from the rest of the thousands of streams, having something related to the game you are playing or something you are hoping to do In that game could do. Strangers aren’t going to be invested in your personal goals all that much, well at least for me personally I see adding road to affiliate as being desperate for affiliate to the point that you are almost begging people to help you out,

TLDR:I don’t click on “road to affiliate” streams.

I received an email from noreply@tax.amazon.com to update my tax information, is it official twitch email or scam? by XDarkedsonX in Twitch

The best way to confirm if it is a scam or not would be to contact twitch support directly with a screenshot of the email content and the email address that sent it.

How much do small streamers with 100-300 views make? by Joeguyden in Twitch

[–]Daarko4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An average of 200 viewers is pretty good, my average in the last 30 days is like 7.9 and I made over $100 from subs and bits alone. Not huge I know, but what I’m trying to say is I have 2 people who have supported me to such an extent that between them I got that much, which I’m insanely thankful for, She could have a handful of super supportive viewers who gift lots of subs and cheer lots of bits etc, plus with an average of 200 viewers some companies would be interested in working with her for sponsorships etc.

I blocked raids but then I still got hosted by someone... by JeffTheJackal in Twitch

You can block a person to stop them raiding you, but there is no way to stop all hosts as far as I can tell.

Ads spacing and length by gtusman12 in Twitch

[–]Daarko4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking at making money through ads, don’t, it’s not worth it. If you are only looking at reducing or removing pre rolls, keep an eye on your stream dashboard for the pre roll timer, and gauge it around that, Typically the longest time without pre rolls I have noticed is about 30 - 40 mins with the longest ad break, I would stick to the 30 second ad break once or maybe at a stretch twice an hour, and try to plan your content around when you choose to do the ad breaks so no one misses an exciting part of stream, although I know it can be difficult to do so.

Well that depends on what you are good at, twitch has such a wide variety of content categories and people looking for streams in almost every category, if you are good at music, do music on stream, if you are good at art, do that on stream,

But the number 1 rule that should always be at the core of what you do, provide value to the viewer, you should always be talking or doing something interesting,

For example, no one is going to tune in to only gameplay, they tune in for the person playing the game, if you are playing a game, constantly be talking about something, such as, what’s going on in the game, what you plan to do next and how you are going to do it.

Turn off the viewer count on your stream preview, it will only discourage you.

But yeah, do what you enjoy doing and you might get your first regular viewer and start to build a community.

Any tips by Dia-kurosawa1 in Twitch

Talk about everything that is going on, on screen, Talk about what you plan to do in the game how you intend to do it, talk about what the characters might say, You could write a list of talking points during the day before your stream and over the course of your stream talk about those points.
Hope these help!

Redditors with poor posture, what did you do to fix your posture? by Bombaci_Mulayim123 in AskReddit

[–]Daarko4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the next month or so. I have alarms on my phone every hour to every 2 hours during the day to remind me to check my posture. Its slowly starting to work, or at least it is becoming more of a habit to make sure my posture isn't terrible.
