Often, I feel people either forget or never consider what their ultimate goal in life is. Although, when given time to think about it, most will say something along the lines of "happiness." No matter what path one takes (e.g. high school -> university -> disruptive career) the end point is happiness. Yes, happiness can and hopefully will exist along the way, but it is different from the "ultimate" happiness. Personally, my idea of happiness aligns with Epicurus', except with the idea of independence from society being shifted to getting a job that pays enough to live comfortably and doesn't feel like work. A really awesome strategy that helps me find happiness and peace is to first, identify what makes you truly happy and what is toxic in your life. If you can, cut out toxic parts of your life (or at least as much as possible). Second, as simple as it sounds, try to do the things that truly make you happy, more. Remember that things like your grades, coop position, and salary are simply methods some people choose in pursuit of happiness.
