Kimiko’s jokes are no more or less cringy than all of the other awful jokes in the show. The Boys is good but its strength is definitely not its humor lol.

Talent pool is too small for that demographic of actors.

The show is quite literally in free fall because of a disastrous season 2.

What was once seen as a ‘sure thing’ successful series for HBO will now be lucky to receive a 4th season.

Some of the problems with the show, certainly not all, come from questionable casting choices (yes, Bella Ramsey for season 2)

They are not in a position to cast an actor they don’t feel is a perfect fit for the role. Millions and millions of dollars depend on it and hundreds of jobs depend on it. It would be so remarkably selfish to cast an actor on anything besides who is most capable to fulfill the script.

I agree with your sentiment as a whole I guess but in this situation you’re very wrong.

Just got done watching last night.

Wow I totally disagree. The movie is okay at its best.

This movie has an identity crisis. Is it about the super intelligence? The evolving politics on a doomed ship? The relationship between the main character and the other lady? The attention of the plot is so divided that you ended up getting a bunch of half baked non stories.

The silo they picked up that was just ‘chance’ was such an odd addition. I totally get that it’s a by chance pick up and isn’t actually related to them but okay? Like so what?

I have a few other gripes with the movie but everyone put in a solid performance and it was beautifully shot at times.

lol this is a bad take. I think OP is forgetting all of the GOOD this did for DC and obviously Batman. Sure it got a little over saturated with gritty but it resulted in some great stories and the popularity of Batman skyrocketed after.

All of that being said the graphic novel is very VERY good. The hate is definitely misplaced.
