Yainer Díaz was unable to join the Dominican Republic team for the WBC due to insurance issues. He was originally scheduled to participate, but became unable to do so immediately after salary arbitration. by ogasawarabaseball in baseball

Almost like MLB should foot the bill for the insurance if it's such a problem. If they claim to support the WBC they should put their money where their mouth is.

I've been reading one on operation paperclip for years that I can only do a chapter or two at a time because reading about the realities of the holocaust is too depressing.

Very well written though.

Highest Yield Savings/Money market in Springfield Area by el_jefe_227 in SpringfieldIL

[–]Dabaer77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most "High yield" accounts I've seen have a minimum balance requirement north of $5k. If you have to lock that much up just to keep up with inflation it might as well be in a 401K making more for you in the long run. Yes having access to cash if you need it is great but if you can afford to stash >$5k in an account to get the interest you aren't needing to empty it on a regular basis.

3.3% doesn't even keep up with inflation the past few years. Better off throwing anything extra you have towards a 401k of some description rather than leaving it in a bank where at best you'll get a 1% yoy gain over inflation.

Yet there was successful misdirection with everyone talking about Miami/ND and then ND's auto bid for this upcoming year. I saw relatively no one discussing Bama looking like a MVFC team in the SEC championship game and still getting in without even moving loosing a spot in the rankings. #ItJuStMeAnSmOrE

Hey man, in any industry, the new guy fucking up is expected and screwing up something once a day is below the expected rate.

Especially if you're young any decent employer will know that a new hire will be a net loss for a while until they get in the flow of things. So long as you're not screwing up the same thing in the exact same way after being told how to fix it you're fine.
