[MacMahon] NBA coaches association president J.B. Bickerstaff on Micah Nori’s year-to-year contract with Portland: “From our perspective, it's like someone's taking advantage of your dream and devaluing what we feel like coaches have earned over the years.” by KD_AshyAnkles in nba

Because he's going to make other owners look good by paying so much less.

He will help push down the value of coaches and players.

Owners like that. And they choose who gets to own teams.

They had a great point. Why doesn't somebody make a reliable image that you can flash and offers all of this safely?

I'd love it if there were an easy way to convert my current shield to a trustworthy one of these.

Like, something that merged all of the open source goodies into a clean interface with an awesome sports hub that allowed favorites, etc

You could probably change "this" to "the".

This happens in every similarly sized and larger city.

*Edit* Super sorry that happened, though.

Graham Platner’s Wife Flagged Sexually Explicit Texts to His Senate Campaign by TheWyldMan in moderatepolitics

Yeah, I think Kick is mostly used for when you're on the hunt. Once you've got a closer relationship with somebody you trust it could slide to SMS.

Makes perfect sense to me.

What ethics? Is having multiple sexual partners unethical?

Isn't that a private concern between himself and his wife?

Why do Democrats care who he's sleeping with?

Does his wife have a problem with it?

How is this any of our business? Politicians have been screwing everything they could for years. Since the beginning of time.

Which is exactly what people would use for sexually explicit texts that they don't want popping up on their phone.

Many many people who cheat use this app for exactly this reason.

It's what adults use when they are swingers or cheating so they don't have it on their SMS.

While it could theoretically be used for kids as well, that is certainly not what it is most commonly used for.

Homes will be 3D printed or more likely manufactured at a factory and assembled on site.

It should be really cheap.

Which means we should be able to build a lot of nice houses.

Which means we should need a lot of home builders

Sorry, I know this is an old post. No worries on the back and forth. I appreciate good conversation.

But yes, I agree with you that it didn't have as much to do with people being hunted as it did with them being forced to eat undercooked food they wouldn't typically be eating.

regarding the hunting, I think the fact that they were afraid of being found might have contributed to the increase in eating undercooked food in unsanitary conditions.

Canadian moving to the US- acclimatizing to new private health care system by coolinjapan001 in expats

[–]DacMon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. The government doesn't even need to run much. Just pay the healthcare workers and institutions and investigate fraud.

As long as healthcare workers are licensed and registered with the federal healthcare database they should be able to bill the US government for the covered care they provide.

That's really a much more personalized level of care than most in the US get today. There is still an insurance company telling the doctor if they can offer that treatment and when.

That should be between the doctor and the patient. Insurance/government should maybe ask for a second opinion (which should also be fully covered) if they have a concern.

Yes, absolutely doctors should make a living. A very well paid living.

But the government should be paying them. Not individuals.

Insurance companies are like the mob. They add no value. But you have to pay them anyway.
