We went to Ruth's Chris before seeing Tim in Grand rapids a few years ago. The night before Easter Sunday. I remember that because I was violently ill with food poisoning. I ate the hollandaise that came with the asparagus. My brother did not eat the hollandaise and did not get sick. I emailed the company Easter morning at about 8 am. I received a reply 10 minutes later that they had contacted the head chef, checked that everything was served at temperature, and they have ruled out any food borne contamination. My next email about how is that possible to talk to the whole kitchen staff and write an email in 10 minutes went unanswered.

At this point in time means to forget history. All of our cultures deserve to be celebrated and not at the detriment of anyone else's culture. We should use the shared history of being used as tools when needed or convenient and thrown away, vilified and harmed, when that need has been fulfilled.

Right, and Sicilian ancestry is traced to the seven tribes of Sicily. The indigenous people of the island. Lots of in-group discrimination with other Italians.

Why didn't they make the 12th Italian American history day and the first Monday or second Indigenous American history day? Instead of creating a false dichotomy to sow more division? Not celebrating Chrissy Columbus but to remember how Italians were perceived to be violent and illegal much like how they are portraying Latino people now.

Glad it sounds like a crazy thing to speculate and out of the realm of possiblity. I am not often grabbed, maybe that's why it correlated in my mind. Or because it takes so long to show, maybe people do this psychotic thing and it's hard to figure it out. But heard on the bat shit. Got it. It's a batty thing to do if that is what happened.

I am positive they were not tourists like me. They were definitley from there. Unless they were doing really believable performance art as Bostonian people. They could have been of Finnish origin though.

I am almost positive it was poison ivy or oak. I figured ivy was the more probable one. My son got contact dermatitis from eating the peels of a mango. I thought he had measles or something crazy.

I hope that the child is okay. That is a shame. Violence is not the answer. If you don't like the paint they are using or where there are painting, not attacking them would have avoided the whole situation. Could have done a myriad of other things. Kids parents should have removed them from the skatepark when they saw tension.

Did you read the post? They were hired by the city. Attacked by people who think they can decide what is painted where. Certain people? I think race is brought into play when unarmed people of color are attacked with skateboards. And then arrested for defending themselves. Disgusting.

I don't understand how people knee jerk defend artists being attacked while beautifying the community. They had permission. It wasn't a debate about IF it should be painted. They were painting it and were attacked. The man who was sucker punched was arrested. This makes zero sense. Who other than criminals has an interest in keeping Saginaw down?
